Kid Rock scores first No.1 single

Kid Rock has topped the UK singles chart for the first time with 'All Summer Long'.

The 37-year-old musician, real name Robert James Ritchie, ends Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris's four-week reign at the top.

Rascal and Harris's 'Dance Wiv Me' slips to second this week, with Irish trio The Script climbing to third with 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'.

Meanwhile, American pop singer Katy Perry makes her UK chart debut, bowing at four with 'I Kissed A Girl', which is currently the No.1 single in the US.

New girl group The Saturdays also debut

This week the album had a 20% increase totaling 73,500 copies sold.

It was also just certified platinum in Canada and came in as the #1 single on Billboard's European chart.

Kid Rock Scores European Number One With 'All Summer Long'

Kid Rock's new song All Summer Long has topped the European singles chart - giving the rocker his first ever mainstream number one.

The hit single toppled Estelle's American Boy from pole position; the singer/rapper slips to second place.

Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks' duet with Chris Brown, No Air, is at three, while Welsh soul star Duffy's Mercy is at four, and Ne-Yo rounds out the top five with Closer.

Meanwhile, the top three in the European albums chart remains unchanged with Coldplay's Viva La Vida in first place, followed by Duffy's Rockferry and Amy Winehouse's Back To Black
