YAY!

I happen to like the way my skull looks, perfect with no cracks! :) I also like the fact I'm not retarded from a head injury, lol.

I used to never wear a helmet until I joined Search and Rescue and it was required. I got so used to wearing it that I feel strange NOT wearing one now.

I always say, A true cowgirl doesn't give a shit what others think about her helmet head, lol!!

and I've had a good friend almost go retarded from being pulled off the back of her horse while ponying a young horse, she cracked the back of her skull and needed emergency surgery and now she has grand maul seizures and has migraines on a daily basis. She still doesn't wear a helmet, grrrr! If she were wearing a helmet, she certainly would have avoided such serious injury.

I actually got hurt from the ground a few weeks ago and was thankful I was wearing my helmet. Two mares started kicking each other and I was in between them, they knocked me about 10 ft away, I landed against the tie rack and my head connected with the railroad tie, it connected HARD too, but my helmet saved the day! I've heard 90% of accidents with horses (especially with kids) happen from the ground, not the saddle.

You will ALWAYS see a helmet on my head :)
