I became a Yankees fan years ago when my hero, Jim Abbott, went to the Bronx from the Angeles and eventually threw his no hitter. I have stayed with the team since. However, my father raised me with midwest values (he's from Iowa) such as working hard (showing up on time/staying late), respectful to others, clean your plate, help out where you can, be humble, do things for others that will never be able to pay you back, honest work, rolling up my sleeves (my grandfather put in floors until he was in his 70s), wave to your neighbors, etc. I support the Midwest way of life, though raised in California. People always ask if I am from the Midwest and I say "No but that's just how my father raised me sir/ma'am." This said, it gives me great pleasure to lose to a team from Detroit. I look forward to cheering on both the Tigers and the Lions in the NFL. Kid Rock is the soundtrack to my day and a philosophy of my way of life. I carry golf clubs and clean golf shoes and clubs for minimum and am proud of what I do and who I am. Thank you Kid Rock for your words and go Tigers/Lions for reminding us that even when in a depression we don't have to be depressed. Go Detroit!
Go Tigers!! Now time to kick some @ss in Texas...woohoo!!!
