The Truth to which Mr. Ritchie speaks and sings is of God, love, differing depths of human emotions and experiences, and love of his neighbors. I care to believe that this is also Your Truth, BLUESUEDESHOE, but with your own perspective, details, and opinions...just like Mr. Ritchie has his. I pray you keep kindly and respectfully speaking your truth. The real world is a hard place, regardless of the number of those around you, because you always fall asleep with and get to wake up to yourself. And good karma ain't cheap. You have your journey, what has shaped and molded you into a good person; Mr. Ritchie has his, including the 15 years he spent traveling with a U-haul trailer just to get people to listen to his music. As recent as his last cruise's Q&A session, he hasn't forgotten the blood, sweat, and tears he put in to achieve all he has, nor does he take it for granted, for he continuously seeks to get better all the way around...because "isn't that life?" Yes, I agree it is. And getting better communicating Our Truths to each other with honest, respectful communication unites us. What if what may appear to be sheltering may instead feel like a targeting by millions? As fickle as the human heart can be, it takes a strong man to carry that burden and blessing...and to stand tall through it all. Sometimes, I'm not the brightest bulb in the package...frankly who always is? That's requiring perfection; we are all perfectly imperfect and God loves us all the same. Whew! I know I have my moments, but don't we all? Fortunately, I'm better able to laugh about my dingy bulb moments instead of accepting self-judgment or that of others. Mr. Ritchie has blazed his own trail, his formal education is outstanding for no piece of paper can bestow upon someone the depth of knowledge and expertise Mr. Ritchie possesses.I possess enough 'formal' education to know it's not all it's cracked up to be. And all of my life's learning allows me to see the brilliant genius of his.

Success and brilliance and talent in one field does not mean all knowledgeable. You know what I am talking about, you are not a stupid person. When he steps outside his zone of knowledge, and possibly posts under the influence, you bet I will call him on it now and for the rest of the time I remain a paying fan club member. He's been privileged since birth, and likes to remain in his comfort zone and in his own state of "being." Fine. Earned the right. But stupid is just stupid. My right to call him on it even if you do not agree when he posts such on a fansite.

Bless your heart, BLUESUEDESHOE!!! I agree, success, brilliance, and talent do not make one all knowledgeable. I know some university professors and attorneys who could benefit from your insight. Successful, brilliant, and talented, they need to get out of their comfort zone a little, too. We all need to, that is how we learn, grow, and change. And if there is one constant in life, that is change. Ah, but therein lies the beauty of life…to learn and grow, to be better, as we experience change. I know it is easier for me to dissolve any pain from my out of my comfort zone learning curve dingy bulb moments if I am extended a hand of supportive honest friendship, more so than when words are harsh and judgmental. It’s human nature. I’m just sayin’. :) There are a lot of influences under which everyone on this website post… those of which you intimate, jealousy, anger, greed, judgment, friendship, care, joy, love…that is the real world. We all need to be called on our stuff; I’m first in line. I don’t always like what I hear but I listen and do my best to hear. Sometimes, though, I already beat you to the punch and am far more harsh on myself than any other person could possibly be, so I ask – Villager to Villager - please, proceed with care. We all have been privileged since birth…privileged to live our lives and walk in God’s grace. God is no respecter of one’s bank account or social status and will teach us what we each need to know. I’m working on discernment rather than flipping the switch all the way to judgment; it’s better for my mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical health, as well as those of my neighbors :) I respect your opinions regardless of if I agree. I appreciate your kind and intelligent insights. We are a Village; how we choose to proceed under our influences is up to each one of us. May God Bless Us All.

Um, Bob speaks his truth, not mine. Sometimes he's not the brightest bulb in the package, if you get my drift. Needs and missed a formal education. Don't get me wrong, I love his music. But the rest, I take with a grain of salt. It's easy to have opinions when you are sheltered by millions, trust me. The real world for most of us is a much harder place.
