This picture, reminds me of where I am from. I little tiny podunk town called Republic, not on the way to anywhere at all. In fact, it is three hours away from anywhere! I spent most of my young life living next to these rail road tracks---only one set that runs through the entire county. Ferry county is located in the North East corner of Washington State. County population: 5,000 people. It is the poorest county in the state, it is logger and miner country. The people are best described by the words: survivalists, isolationists, and conservatives. There is very little flat land, it is all straight up and down mountains. Beautiful, harsh, and extreme weather. This will always be my home, no matter how far away I roam.
