    Its my boat motha f***a!!!!

Yep. 1:15am on early Sunday morning. Mark it. Surprise DJ show by Kid Rock ANNOUNCED by Kid Rock over the PA and into every available space (including passenger cabins) on board.

As a still fairly new employee of Sixthman, I havent had the pleasure of experiencing the other Sixthman cruises with artist hosts, but Ive got to tell you the bar has been set and then continuously raised day after day by the Kid. Here are some highlights:

    BOARDING DAY

Take a photo with all guests as they board? Sure. Why not. In fact, it was HIS idea. As he put it later on in the day at his first (of many) unannounced appearances on the boat I just wanted to get the pink elephant in the room out of the way because I just want to chill with yall on the boat. Fair enough, Mr. Rock.

    WHAT, A SAIL AWAY SHOW?

As youve read already, 2000 shots of Jim Beam from Kid Rock himself were passed around and raised into the air. Kid wanted something for his fans to extend beyond typical three hour show and into a full blown Kid Rock experience. Id say they got that message loud and clear from day one.

    KID ROCK HEADLINING SHOWS

Needless to say, weve seen some pretty spectacular shows onboard our cruises over the years. Ive never seen a bigger connection between audience and host as I experienced watching Kid Rock (and his AMAZING band, the Twisted Brown Trucker Band) rock every single face off in the Paris Lounge on Friday and Saturday. Something extraordinary was created that cant ever be replicated for those not in the room.

    FAMILY PORTRAIT

Kappy made the announcement from the Lido Deck that our group photo, also known as the Kid Rock Family Portrait, was about to be taken and sure enough a man with a yellow hat and some red shorts comes walking out. Whos going to miss the photo with all his family? Not the Kid. Thats for damn sure.

OH, YOU WANT A DANCE PARTY?

Youve got one. Like I said before, Kid Rock made an announcement into every single cabin at about 1:15am basically reiterating the fact that sleep is entirely overrated and unless this boat is docked in Tampa, your butt should be out on the deck and not in the bed. Kid DJd for over an hour and a half out under the stars to the packed out deck. These guests bring the party, with the ultimate party host leading the way.

Beyond all these highlights, Kid Rock has been everywhere at any given time of day, giving high fives, speaking to his fans, taking photos, and signing anything thrown his way. There is a difference between being the name of the cruise that gets people booked and excited about the trip and actually BEING the cruise.

Living up to and then exceeding the hype. Turning just a trip that hard-earned money was handed over for in August and September of last year into extremely well spent time on the experience of a lifetime. Having those moments that you can never recreate but can replay in your head for the next year and have stories to tell that will make everyone you know not only jealous, but maybe into a new Kid Rock fan. These are things that Kid Rock has spearheaded and vowed to do as long as this boat is still moving, and in that case can we just never go back?

Kid Rock, on behalf of Sixthman, well have you as our seventh man any day.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I don't care who is sick or dying next year I am so there. Hope the ship will go out of the west coast for a change. Thank you Kid for all the good you did, and I wasn't even there. But reading all the great reviews made me so happy for all who went and had a hell of a good time. Will for sure be there next year. I need the best weekend of my life and I know you will deliver.

Thanks for the BEST weekend of my life...the bar is set so high now that I don't think anything can top it! I'm back to grading papers and writing lesson plans, but I will never forget those four days...I was on the boat, MFs!
