I am a man of my word. Due to a breach of contract we will not be performing at the Cattle Baron's ball this Saturday, October 29th.

JGoldie...well said! And right on! Glad that others did the right thing & didn't back out or ask for a refund! Still sad about this for Kid Rock! He is such a great guy & really usually has a heart of gold. So don't quite understand what happened? Hope it is not just that he wanted more money last minute because they were advertising the event using his name without permission like the rumors going around. I really hope he opens up about what happened so everyone will know the truth & move on. Come on, Kid! Just give us the dirt and I am sure we will understand!

OMG....what a night. This truly was an amazing event. First of all, it was packed. Not one person asked for a refund. The event raised a TON of money for a great cause. The highlight was the food. At least 50 local restaurants donated food. And they just didn't donate...they set up incredible display tables and prepared the food right there. This involved packing up the food from the restaurant, driving it downtown, loading it into carts, bringing it to the loading dock of the Joe, bringing it up the elevator, then setting up their tables. And at the end of the night reversing it. I guarantee each restaurant started at noon and didn't get home until 2am. These restaurant owners are hard working Americans that gave their time, effort and money to a great cause. I'm very glad there wasn't a breach of contract with them by publicizing they were going to be there and share in the wonderful event. A special thank needs to go out to the corporate sponsors, GM, Ford, Lear, Federal Mogal and others. These great American companies really showed what the spirit of charity and giving is all about. Just 2 short years ago these companies were left for dead but now they are back and sponsoring these type of events. Glad there was no breach of contract as they proudly advertised that they were behind this incredible night. To the person that talked about the banner being raised. That was a truly emotional moment and definitely reminded us why we were all there. It is so important that we keep trying to find a cure for this dreaded disease. If only our loved ones that are no longer with us couple have avoided cancer by claiming breach of contract. The night was capped off by the comedy of Jay Mohr and the music of Annabelle Road. Jay had everyone on the floor laughing and Annabelle Road rocked the house. It was so nice that they didn't back out at the last minute...they must of had a different contact.

It truly was an amazing night which raised a ton of money for a great cause. I was glad to be part of it and equally disappointed that this negativity had to be surrounding the event. I adore Kid Rock & know how loyal & generous he has been with his money & time in the past. I can't wrap my head around how at the last minute he could pull out of this event & not give enough notice to allow for another entertainer. And what could be so awful that you can't even show up at the event and make an appearance. Looks really bad & with not real clear explanation. Karma is a bitch & hope this doesn't come around to bite ya in the ass, Kid or your managers. Because you screwed over a lot of loyal fans & cancer survivors & families. Not cool and not like you. Just be honest & let people know the whole story and then we can understand. I am trying to defend you & really can't right now as I can't find any real reason why you would have done this. Let's hope it is a great one.

"I'm not about to have to CLEAN UP someone else's MESS!" idk, BUT, 3 days of the same ole same ole is now at a point where I don't know why I'm even here on this thread. Lot's of speculation, lot's of KR bashin' and lot's of DEVOTION. That's what I LOVE about this place, KR fans are loyal, level headed (until there's a PARTY!!!) and most of all: FU#%KIN' CRAZY about Kid Rock!!! We should PROUD of the way we "CARE"......hell, I would "go to bat" for any of you die hard fans!!! Wish I could go to a show in EVERY TOWN just TO MEET you ALL!!! Kid Rock should be PROUD too!!! Y'all R-O-C-K!!!

Wonderful night at the Cattle Baron's Ball! We all remembered and honored those we've lost and those who are fighting today. Metro Detroit came together to raise a significant amount of money that will help fund research and the people in this community.

Well, I can't lie.... IF I had the money to attend something like this I would have only done it to see Kid perform and would have been very disappointed, not pissed, if he didn't show. IF I had the money to attend the Cattle Baron's ball I would also still by happy that the donation would be helping someone somewhere, so Kid Rock not performing would not be a big deal just a dissapointment in my life that would be nothing compared to what other people go through. Just one of the reasons I love Kid Rock is because he helps alot of people and some of those he knows EXACTLY where the money is going. I can't remember the city or school (it was in MI) but the golf clubs he bought when he found out the schools were stolen, the pizza delivery guy that was robbed that he read about in the morning paper where he was performing he gave, I believe, $1,000. These are just a couple examples, I know he has done many, many more things that have gone DIRECTLY to a person in need, got dealt a chitty hand, whatever. The point is he GAVE to someone and KNEW it would help. That is the problem with huge organizations, I'm not saying they are bad, it's just that you never know where the money is going. Plenty of natural disasters that have happened and celebrites have given and raised millions of dollars and nothing has happened? Whatever Kid's reason....... I'm sure he was in the right only because it is true that he does care. You can't be something for everyone all the time but he tries. You can see his heart and you can see he goes directly to the source of what may be needed. Not sure if it's a good idea for him to say what happened or not, regardless, he's still a great guy and anyone that knows him or knows of what he has done will know that he's not happy about this having to happen.

I'm sure the people who bought tickets thinking he'd be there are pretty upset, but I'm sure there's a good reason & he shouldn't feel the need to have to defend himself to anybody. With all the generous contributions he's already given to many charities & people in need, he's earned the respect he deserves already. He doesn't cheat people & does care about people in need. He is a hardworking man that is loyal to his community, he's a stand-up guy.

Classy move Kid. But as one of the people here working at the Cattle Baron's Ball, I can safely say your replacement, Annabelle Road is far calssier and alot more enjoyable than watching you hop around on the stage and try to carry a tune. Much happier being here without you. - Stay Classy.

There was an article on the Oakland Press today that states that there will not be any explanation from Kid Rocks PR spokesperson so we can leave this dead horse alone. There had to be a good reason and out of respect for everyone neither side is going to tell. It is not our business actually. Either we still respect Kid or we don't that is your personal decision.
