    I just watched this documentary and it is incredible, moving and real! In this day and age we all know that so much good music gets overlooked and the best songwriters and singers hardly ever get their due anymore. Pretty insane to think it was going on in the 70's as well. I am almost embarrassed that this man Rodriguez is from Detroit and I have neverheard of him! This movie not only tells an incredible story but will also turn music lovers on to some unbelievable songs. It also sums up the problem with music nowadays and in the past. Radio stations, record labels, promoters, the press, video channels etc should all be ashamed that artists like this get overlooked everyday. People who love music don't have time between work andraising a family to "dig deep" and spend hours and hours digging to find real artists like this, so I feel somewhat responsible to pass on great music when I hear it. I have been thinking for sometime of releasing music of great unknown or slightly known artists and this documentary may be exactlywhat I needed to motivate me to do so...stay tuned and I hope you enjoy thistrailer and are able to see this movie soon. The soundtrack is on Itunes and so are his other 2 phenomenal records. I will keep you posted when this documentary will be released to the public. Enjoy

I saw this today and it is a very moving....it really makes you wonder how many other "Rodriguez's" are out there...I know you think Austin is pretentious but there are sooo many incredible musicians in this city that are of his caliber who never get recognized here either!

Thanks for showing us there is so much more to the real music world. Like you said, it is so hard to get noticed and you really have to shine and work your ass off if that's what you want. Look at you, thank goodness you never gave up. And for that we love and enjoy all you give to us.

It happens all of the time. There are those that have daddy's money for vocal tuning and they succeed. I have met some awesomely talented people that will never get anywhere in the business. Many get ripped off bad if they do get signed !!! Where is Gretchen ????????

Wow, that is an awesome story!! Can't wait to see the movie! Checked out his songs on youtube, crazy that this guy was never even heard of here. Wonder if he played the bars in Detroit back then ? (guess I'll have to wait for the movie :-) ) I'm gonna go through my Dad's old albums cuz he was into every kind of music there was and it seems like I remember seeing Rodriguez in his albums. Humm...I'd love to make a documentary with Kid Rock someday, but I have no clue where to begin or what it would be about...Any suggestions? Maybe just an interview (question&answer) with a long term fan....We could start there.

Thanks for sharing this. Get it, does everybody else? Look forward to watching this documentary and listening to the soundtrack. By the way I think you have a great idea with sharing the unknown artist and shows just another way of how you give back. Something I admire not to mention you as a great artist with so many talents. You set a good example of what a great artist IS. KEEP ROCKIN and I will keep enjoying. SO HOTT !!!!! P.S. One day I'll be on my porch with my old ass rocking. :)

Speaking of foul ass moods. I got offered 2 jobs working from home and they only want to pay me 28 hr. What the hell? I know most people would be happy with this but when you've been spoiled it's like? They know damn well that with my experience that is a slap in the face. I know I should be more humbled but I can't quit asking wtf? I told them up front no less than 40 hr and that's a cut that I willing to take since I don't have to drive my RT and can keep it in the garage as well as my truck and not pay high gas prices. But even not paying gas that is way too much ofma cut. Sorry I'm normally happy but I'm sick of people trying to take advantage.
