Check out Rev Run’s Words Of Wisdom from TODAY - Tuesday, April 21, 2009
Good morning. While being on tour with Mr Ritchie (Kid Rock) I discovered a great book… “You’ve got talent .. Now what?”
Author..-John Maxwell… While looking at Kid perform night after night for hours and hours and rehearse during the day.. I said to myself whoa this dude is amazingly talented! THEN as I saw the work ethic, I came to the conclusion That having talent is just the beginning.. God gives us talent and its up to us to cherish and develop it, so we can serve others and make God proud.. This dude would do whatever it took to rock the house and give the world a good time… Props to Kid! In conclusion I say… Practice Practice Practice! I read a quote that’s fitting for this word of wisdom.. If I miss a day of practice, I know it.. If I miss two days of practice my manager knows it. If I miss three days of practice my audience knows it… Develop your craft everyone! Practice!

Kid Rock introduced the comedian on stage in Detroit, Michigan, for the free show, which aimed to boost morale in an area dogged by high unemployment rates.
“What a great night for the state of Michigan and the people of Detroit,” Kid Rock told the crowd at The Palace Of Auburn Hills.
The star, who is from Detroit, introduced Jay, who bounded on stage and embraced the rocker.
The first row then rushed toward the stage and Jay went down the line slapping and shaking hands, just as he does every night before his Tonight Show monologue begins.
Jay failed on several occasions to get his set started, because the roar of the crowd and a chant of “Thank you, Jay!” drowned out his words.
The NBC late-night star, an avid car collector whose love of autos has brought him to Detroit from time to time, said he wanted to do some good for an area struggling with a high jobless rate and imploding auto industry.
Michigan’s unemployment rate was at 12 per cent in February, the highest in the nation.
“These are the hardest-working people in the world, and I think they’re getting screwed,” Jay told reporters before the show. “And it doesn’t seem fair.”
He initially only planned a single show, but heavy demand prompted organisers to add a Wednesday night performance of what was being billed as Jay’s Comedy Stimulus Plan. In all, there will be 30,000 tickets distributed.
Check out the Final Four and Championship Game for a special introduction and voice over by Kid Rock. Also listen for music from multi platinum ‘Rock and Roll Jesus’ during the telecast.
Ty Stone recently revealed on his Myspace Blog that he’s going to be releasing a new EP with tracks produced by KID ROCK this Spring! Stay tuned for details…
It was announced today that Kid Rock has purchase the naming rights to the home of the Detroit Tigers for an undisclosed sum. Kid Rock and The Michigan Brewing Company, in a separate negotiation, are proud to announce that Kid Rock’s forthcoming new line of beer will become the official beer of the Detroit Tigers.
Says Kid Rock, “This has been a dream of mine for a long time, and with the banks in trouble it seemed like the right time for me to reach out to the fine people at Comerica Bank. Since they relocated to Dallas after opening the stadium here, they were very open to the idea of making this deal. I’ve never been more excited for opening day, and I’m proud to be able to add my name to the legacy of my favorite baseball team.”
Kid Rock performed with ‘Soul Shine’ and Can’t You See’ with Allman Brothers Band while they celebrated their 40th Anniversary and tributed their annual Beacon Theatre run to Duane Allman this past Friday night. Watch a clip uploaded by a fan below!

Mickey Rourke will join Kid, Pussycat Dolls leader at 25th-anniversary show. By Jocelyn Vena MTV.com
Kid Rock and Nicole Scherzinger have been tapped as the musical guests for “WrestleMania XXV” on April 5 in Houston at the Reliant Astrodome. Scherzinger, minus the rest of the Pussycat Dolls, will open the show with her rendition of “America the Beautiful.” In the past, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Ashanti and John Legend have performed the song at the show. Meanwhile, Kid Rock will be playing a medley of his hits “Cowboy,” “Bawitdaba,” “Rock N Roll Jesus” and “So Hott.”
Not only will Scherzinger and Rock be on hand for the big show, but “The Wrestler” star Mickey Rourke is also confirmed to make an appearance, after backing out of the event earlier this year. Last week, Chris Jericho challenged Rourke’s pals Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat to fight on behalf of the Oscar nominee at the 25th anniversary of “WrestleMania.”
On the March 16 episode of “Monday Night RAW,” Jericho also offered to buy Rourke a ticket and said that when the actor shows up, he “will not be responsible for what happens to the Academy Award nominee and his friends.” The appearance was also confirmed by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who said, “Rourke will be in attendance at ‘WrestleMania.’ ” Why? Back in January, Rourke talked about his initial interest in making an appearance at the event. “The boys from the WWE called me and asked me to do it,” Rourke told “Access Hollywood.” “I said, ‘I want to.’ I’m talking with [WWE legend] Rowdy Roddy Piper about it.” He later backed down, but not before saying, “Chris Jericho, you better get in shape because I’m coming after your a–.”
Rourke’s appearance was also confirmed by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who said, “Rourke will be in attendance at ‘WrestleMania.’ ”

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Kid Rock says he’s “on fire” in the studio, which has led him to scuttle plans to tour this spring in order to finish work on his follow-up to 2007’s double-platinum album “Rock N Roll Jesus.”
“I really feel like I’ve kind of got this figured out,” the rapper and singer-songwriter tells Billboard. “I think I can make an equally good record, if not better than the last one — which is once again putting quite a weight on your shoulders. But I do like the pressure.”
Rock has been working at his Allen Roadhouse studio in the Detroit suburbs with his Twisted Brown Trucker Band — particularly guitarist Marlon Young, who co-wrote several songs on “Jesus” — as well as good friend Uncle Kracker, longtime engineer Al Sutton and producer/engineer Mike E. Clark (Insane Clown Posse, George Clinton, Primal Scream). Rock hopes to have the album finished before he hits the road this summer and put it out in the fourth quarter.
“Obviously I had a great year in 2008,” Rock says, “one of my best since (1999’s “Devil Without a Cause” album) — maybe even better considering the times we’re in. We’re at a point where you do something and then it’s forgotten, and I’ll have to prove myself again, and that’s just incredible. People need to be reminded sometimes, and sometimes being humble doesn’t do that so well.”
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Authorities in Lakewood are reviewing a video posted on a Web site that shows an ambulance and an EMS squad car spinning out in a snow-covered parking lot. The clip has since been removed from a car-enthusiast Web site. The Asbury Park Press of Neptune reports the video showed the ambulance spinning in tight circles and the squad car spinning and turning sharply in the parking lot of BlueClaws stadium. It was set to the Kid Rock song, “Devil Without a Cause.” [via newsday.com]
