Hey now... just a thought that's probably already been processed thru your mind. If ya can't sell all them seats and get to a million.. make a dvd for them fans who can't get to this, mm kay.. it'd sure make a nice Christmas gift for under the tree here :)

Thank you for your kind words, SA_586, and for explaining so much. I am glad I didn't offend you, for I did not wish to do so. I am also happy you are exposing the child of which you spoke to Mr. Ritchie's music for it is a treasure trove of artistry. I can tell, you being a KRC member, concert attendee, and decked out with swag, would agree. Have you started him out with the Born Free CD? I'm just sayin' :) But why not treat yourself? I would. Why go with someone else? I would go joyfully unafraid all by myself because he's the only one with whom I care to spend my time. Even in a crowd I am alone with him. I reiterate my point, though, and not at all to be rude or disrespectful, but everything I have read, seen, and heard has had Mr. Ritchie stating his concern for his fans about the ticket prices and how they are different because of the fundraising nature of this event. Again, from the information I have gathered, I believe the other reasonably priced concert tickets were because Mr. Ritchie made it so. Mr. Ritchie has given nobly and humbly of himself for this fundraising venture and I believe the structure of this event may preclude his being able to do the same here. So again, his already gracious and giving heart bleeds more when we keep whining about something over which he does not have control. Hopefully, we can all love and support him without any "poor me's" (pardon the pun) . I am eternally grateful I get to hear his music any time and any way I can.

Oh Anna! That was a wonderful post, but if I were asking for something, I would have told this child's story, as it's enough to make any heart bleed! That wasn't my intention at all. I was simply whining & being a crybaby because I can't go. And maybe hoping for some extra contests so those of us who can't afford the "up close & personal" seats can get the chance to get them some other way. I don't expect to make a post & be given anything. Not a bit. In fact, if I could afford the tickets, I would take my MOM, not this child. All he knows about Kid Rock is that I have his CD in whenever he gets in my car, & he isn't allowed to put on HIS music until I say so. This child's taste is not matured enough yet to appreciate Bobby's music, or the HEART that goes into it. Although I'm working on that *wink* The tix for Kid Rock concerts are usually very reasonably priced, but this one is too much for some of us. Although this will be the first Detroit concert I've missed in 5 years, I've never had decent seats because I can't afford them. So if Bobby DOES read the board, maybe he can remember that & in future help us all out somehow with some contests or drawings that will give fans like me (and I know there are MANY) a chance to get up closer. I wouldn't ask for anything more than that. He does enough good for LOADS of people. And more people need to CARE as well!

Oh! Anna! That was a beautiful post! But I'm not asking for anything! Not at all! I'm simply whining that I cannot afford to attend. This child doesn't even know much about Kid Rock (aside from the t-shirt's & hoodies I wear, & music I have on in my car when I go to see him). If I COULD afford to tix, I would take my mom, who loves Bobby as much as I do. I wouldn't dream of asking for anything from Bobby. He gives enough! Maybe, perhaps for him to understand that some of his biggest fans can't afford the up close & personal seats & somehow make it possible, when pricing tickets, for some of us to be able to do that, but I don't expect anything else, & wouldn't dare ask. If that were my intention, I would have told this child's story, as it's enough to make anyone's heart bleed. I was just bummed that I couldn't go.

Robert, I just wanted to tell you to break a leg on Saturday, you are all going to be AWESOME and God bless for including the troops-so love what you did and have done with a simple but beautiful word "CARE". Take care always Robert, bye <3 p.s. Also from your other fan, he is so proud of you too and glad to be your fan! :) If you get a chance, read what he wrote to honor you: http://www.mediamajesty.com/meandkidrock.php

It takes a village to raise a child, so thank you SA_586 for all you do to help those children. So shines a good deed in a weary world. Please, though, Mr. Ritchie gets enough whining and gimme this and gimme that. Enough is enough. Please believe me, I understand a lifetime of fixed income issues but I am not whining about what I don’t have, but am grateful for what with God’s grace I do. I call it perspective. You can make that child’s day special just by being you, smiling, listening to him, laughing, and spending time with him. He needs loving people not stuff. Provide him with his own private concert by getting together with him and playing Mr. Ritchie’s CDs if you have them or stream Born Free off the internet like I do to brighten my day. It ain’t about the money, so blow it off. It’s about the time we spend together as villagers. Mr. Ritchie is one awesome, giving, gracious, and compassionate man – as I hope you would agree based upon all he does -- so please don’t make his heart hurt more than it already does because, as one man he can’t fix everything for everybody. Please remember he does CARE.

Well, all of the cheap seats are already gone again. Guess I wont get to go to the one concert I've been looking for all year (yes, I'm whining! I've been waiting for this since the club tour was announced). I "get" that this is for charity, but some fans are disabled and its hard enough coming up with $200 for a set of tix when you are on a fixed income. $500 is impossible, as its sometimes HALF of what we get a month. I do volunteer work with foster kids, & see them 3X's a week. Our organization is in danger of losing our funding, & we help over 300,000 kids a year. A LOT of children who have been abused or neglected in various ways will lose the anchor that us volunteers are able to be for them. One of these kids I volunteer my time to turns 13 on Thursday, & I have to find money to make his day special since he has no parents to do it for him. At this point, even a single ticket at $100 is too much. Especially last minute like this. Don't get me wrong, I know this concert is to raise money for a great cause...but the prices are quite steep for some of us. If I can one day get up CLOSE my dream will come true (then I can work up to the cruise!)...but the good seats even for regular concerts are way out of my price range. I'm hoping Bobby can let some of us less financially fortunate fans get up close & personal someday. (*off my soap box now!*)

Maaaan, whoever gets to go to this show is in for one badass mf'n treat. Can't wait to hear about it.

Sprinklers may work but the kitchen sink eggs didn't, so off to shower and make it to my favorite spot known for their homemade pie and get me a bit a nourishment before they close at 3. Maybe a little stroll afterward will motivate me for my still neglected paperwork :) In preparation for this weekend's magic, I hope you are having a beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing day, Mr. Ritchie. I know I am, because even though I forgot it in my previous post, yes, I do CARE.

Oh, how I dream!!! But, alas, I'll have to be satisfied with my dreams and wishes on the rainbows created by the now-all-working-because-one-shouldn't-underestimate-God-the-power-of-prayer-and-a-determined-Norwegian sprinklers as I am waiting on The One to hold hands with as we discover the pot of gold of True Love. I am so happy more people get to hear your "Joyful Noise" you will create for them to refresh their souls.
