    Momma Rock Responds!

This was sent to me by my Mom this morning, Thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share.

    Hi Bob,
Been thinking a lot about you out on the road in this unbelievable weather. Cudos to you for your response to those whinning about not being able to make it.You wouldn't have won if you cancelled. I remembered this morning while I was excercising and listening to Mr. Cash on my Ipod about the time Dad and I went to see George Jones and Tammy Wynette at Meadowbrook. It was late Sept. and in the 20s. We went in our hats, gloves and warm coats. The warm up act played, then Tammy and then the warm up act again. About 10pm people started to leave and as they did we kept moving up closer-never even thinking about going home (although we probably should have, because who knows what was going on there.) No show Jones finally came on about 11pm and by then we were about 3 rows back and saw one hell of a show. We went home raving about the show and always had something to talk about when George Jones was in the news. We still are fans to this day. At least he showed up-probably drunk and all. And as far as refunding the money-that's over and above the call of duty, but that shows your character and that is something I'm so proud of. Looking forward to seeing you In March.

    Love, Mom

....... And George played until 1am and Meadowbrook shut the lights down!!!!

In February, it snows! Get over it people. Good for you Kid Rock for performing as scheduled. As for the whiners, it was not necessary to refund the ticket price, although that was a wonderful gesture. I think I am a even bigger fan after hearing how this was handled. Momma knows best ;)

Thanks for sharing Bob.... Your mom sounds like an amazing woman... I'm sure she didn't like what those whinny shits were saying about the show in Little Rock. As a mom myself, I would have been pissed and very outspoken about that shit being said about my kid. My girls are grown but it doesn't matter how old they are, they are still our children!! She is a classy lady and I know you are very proud of her!!

I LOVE your mom! I LOVE you for sharing that with us! Isn't funny when your mom shares something like that and you have to stop and think just for a moment. Hey, my mom had a life and it rocked!! I can tell she loves and supports you!! Hang on to family and those few people in our life we can truly call friends ( we all have lots of aquaintances, but your true friends can be counted on your fingers)!! I know you have all us fans, but family and friends is where it's at my man! Much love as always

The first time I saw Kid Rock was in March of 2004, I drove from Johnstown to Pittsburgh about 2 hrs or so. The weather was not bad that night, and then again in March of 2006 I made the trip to Pittsburgh again. The weather sucked! It was snowing and raining both and super cold. We had to park so far away and walk I was wet and froze to the core. The show rocked and was completly worth it. I once again braved the weather in March of 2008, only this time I drove 4 and a half hours to Reading Pa. to Kid, Dickey Bettes, and Rev. Run. The weather in Eastern Pa is much better than that of the Western side. Anyway on the way home around 2 a.m. I hit a snow storm that was so bad I could barely see (Pleasantville Mountain). My friend was sound asleep in the passenger seat as I crept up the mountain about 10-15 mph. I was the only vehicle on the road and the cell phone service is non-existant on that mountain. Anyway, I made it home safely and the show rocked as usual. The next time I saw Kid was in July of 2009 again in Pittsburgh. My point is if you are a true fan you will go to great lengths to support the artist. I live in Western Pa., and can expect terrible weather. I can wait until the next time I get to see Kid Rock again, and you better believe I would drive in a snow storm to do it! Your are a great man Kid Rock and it is great to see that you support your fans as much as your "true" fans support you! PS. please come to Pa again, the ground hog says we are having an early spring ;-)

What an awesome and positive way to look at things. Really don't care for people who feel that they are entitled to something. Sometimes you can't win for losing. Rock On

Always listen to your mother, Us moms know best. I think I like her more then I like you now. As far as your son's character goes, he gets that from you. And all your years of hard work you put into him. God bless the both of you. I don't know how much snow you got in MI but here in NY we have been under mounds of snow since Dec 26th . As a crossing guard I can't stay in and be warm but I wish you both warm thoughts and safe travels. Oh mom...Johnny Cash rocks !!!! Stella

Love your mom supporting you, and keeping your spirits up... when people try to beat you down. But No worries Baby, in the "D" we will ALWAYS have your back, and continue to support you in all that you do....Roll on !

Just when I think you couldn't possibly get any more appealing.... you go and share with all of us fans your love and respect for your mom. Awesome. How a man treats his mother says a lot about his character. So on that note. . . . Word to ya Mutha!!! ha ha. Well, I'm planning on seeing you February 18th in Nashville and I won't be needing a refund because my happy ass is gonna be there, come hell of high water. Gonna be like the mailman: rain, snow, sleet or hail. . . Load up in my Jeep Wrangler if we have to.
