Miranda Lambert joined by Kid Rock for Hoedown finale

I apologize I forgot to thank you for this post. I hear you…were mugged. I hope you are ok. :) I also loved hearing “while Rock had a moment out front on his own when he ramped up for his song-stealing "I was off to drink you away" line.” And most of the 29 comments in the paper were about you, too. You make me smile. White V-neck T-shirt and a black fedora…mmm, but then again, you always look smokin’ hott in whatever you choose. My roommate and I have been practicing your song in our set, too. Oh, and I sang the song I wrote for you to my broken up neighbor, another bar attendee, and the bartender after bar time last night. Again, test market favorable. I’ve been practicing but I still only sing it a cappella. I haven't been able to make a good recording of it yet...it's more appreciable in a live setting. Yippee! Another Full Moon dancing night! Last night only the four songs I requested were good. I didn’t get as much dancing in as I would prefer. Kirsten's DJ-ing tonight. She’s newer to it, but more fresh and reads the room well. And she feels well enough to dance, too! Maybe I can get her to play a few off Born Free or some of your other artistry either that I have heard or those I have yet to hear but greatly anticipate. I'm heading home from the awesome library here, but alas, I bet ours is not as awesome as the Awesomeville library because it would have at least one of your CDs I could check out to take home with me. Finally, short skirt and tank top weather today…ahh…summer…definitely not a shitty Thursday. I am hopeful. Hugs and Grins, Mr. Ritchie!!!

I was at the concert and it was cool. It was funny because before Miranda started I went around to the booths, and of course made in detroit, was in the middle of it -- and i talked to the guy and said that I really wish Kid was going to be in Michigan this summer. He told me that he heard he was going to play in Michigan -- and he thought it would be soon -- but he didnt spoil the surprise -- I left optimistic -- but without knowing that it would be that NITE :) Much thanks to the guy in the booth!

I was wondering how all is going for you, Mr. Ritchie, and then see the WebCrew’s posts, so while you’re busy, I’m sure hoping you are having fun, too! I remember the show from which Ms. Lambert was launched and rooted for her all the way along. I am so happy for her, what she has accomplished, and the love she has found. Since a grocery store didn’t take a chance on me and I have too strong a work ethic to sit idly, I NEED SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY HANDS. So WITH NOTHING ON BUT THE RADIO, the next process of my move preparations is burn-pile-versus-memorabilia paperwork organization. Ugh, but doing it, making it fun and liberating, instead of wasted emotional energy procrastinating. Please, DON’T LAUGH AT ME, but giggling about my geek-dom I’ve found, and accepted it to be, simply irresistible. I am, however, BETTER THAN I USED TO BE. I’m off to continue with my obligations, dissolve the irrelevant stone cast upon my heart which strengthened the whisperin’, listen to summer sounds, and wave at the constant hover of planes, because…fueled with another power song… with a blue-eyed boy I was BORN TO FLY. I’m hoping you are able to spend time with Junior, other family, and friends, doing fun things or just sitting quietly enjoying each other’s company. I truly hope you are happy and having fun, for IT MATTERS TO ME. You are a good man, through and through. Thank you, Mr. Ritchie, for being a true Gentleman. You teach and inspire me daily to be a better woman.
