Kid Rock will be recognized at the end of the first quarter of Friday's home opener against Oklahoma City, commemorating his 21 sold-out concerts at the Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre. The team will unveil his updated arena banner, which has hung from the rafters since January 2009.
The game also will include the debut of a "Born Free" music video integrating Kid's song with concert clips and Pistons highlights.
Starting Dec. 11, his clothing label, Made In Detroit, will be featured in a ticket/T-shirt deal called "Saturday Nights Are Made In Detroit." For $29 (or $79 in the lower level), fans will get two T-shirts with the Pistons logo designed in Made In Detroit style, plus two tickets. On the last two dates -- Feb. 26 and March 26 -- the first 5,000 fans at the Palace will get a Kid Rock bobblehead.
