Kid Rock, Kitna, Maltby slated for Buick Open pro-am

Buick Open officials announced that Romeo rocker Kid Rock, Lions quarterback Jon Kitna and Red Wings forward Kirk Maltby will play in Wednesdays pro-am.
Tee times will be announced at tonights drawing party at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club. Two waves of tee times will run from 7-9 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m.
Theres a strong possibility Kid Rock will play in the same group as John Daly, who has received a sponsors exemption to play in this years tournament. Kid Rock and Daly are friends and last year Daly stayed at Rocks home in Brandon Township during the Buick Open.
Hes a lot better golfer than I am a guitar player, I promise you, Daly said of Kid Rock at last years tournament.
Kitna is an avid golfer and a member at Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville. Kitna carries a 5.6 handicap and has posted scores from 11 rounds in May with the Golf Association of Michigan.
Maltby is a member at Lochmoor Club in Grosse Pointe Woods. He has not posted a score with the GAM since Sept. 2, but he has an official handicap of 8.8.
Former Tigers outfielder Bobby Higginson also is scheduled play in the pro-am.
