Kid Rock Cruise Nears End, But Not Before More Revelry

The impressive endurance of Kid Rock cruisers has been in full effect again this this afternoon, on the final full day before the boat returns to New Orleans early in the morning.

Just like the past three days, the center of the action is on the 9th floor Lido Deck, where the New Orleans band Big Sam's Funky Nation just laid down one of the cruise's best musical performances — a sweat-soaked, horn-drenched set of rock-inflected funk that had fans dancing for more than an hour.

In his familiar spot on the balcony overhead was Kid Rock, who has spent today looking over the proceedings and occasionally heading down to mingle with fans in the pool. Upcoming performances by John Stone, Detroit's Ty Stone and a previously unscheduled evening set by Kid Rock should keep the energy cranked up.

For the 2,700 who had waited nearly a year for this escape into Kid Rock Disneyland, there was wistfulness mixed with the high spirits, as the trip's looming end came into sight.

Still, for those like Cory Glidden, there was nothing to be sad about yet.

"The party's not over 'til you get home," said the 41-year-old from Battle Creek, who sipped a Bud Lite near the ship casino. "And now we've got something to talk about all year. Our buddies will be looking at our Facebook pictures, saying, 'Man, you lucky ...'"

Sadly i won't be cruisin ever. Fear of being out at sea with no land. I will just keep going to the great Concerts here on land!

yeah about the pool, I personally thought that the fans that jumped in the pool after he got in should of given the man some space. I'm sure he would of stayed much longer and enjoyed himself if everyone in the pool wasn't sweatin his dam nut sack..... Respect the man's space. Just sayin.....

I can't wait to see him when he comes to Vancouver in May and I can't wait to see if he does tell me that he told Don Henley about me. If he takes photos with his fans, can he turn to an assistant and get someone to get Don Henley on the phone, it's Kid Rock calling. Can I really make this happen, I am going to find out in May everyone, I really am in love with Don Henlay and I want to know if he has found the love of his life, cause he is the love of my life, and I am on Mission Impossible people, my mission is to walk up behind Don Henley and have him turn around so I can say, I think you are my soulmate, but if you have someone in your life who you love, I will treasure just this, and this is all I need to happen before I die. Nothing else matters and this is the hardest and most ballsy thing I could do, besides assuming that Kid Rock reads this stuff and that I can actually touch his heart the way he has touched mine. Really, I do want both of you to know how deeply you have touched my heart and I am in MY SHOES Don Henley and I want you to see what you give me the strength to do with the time I have left with my life. I hope the administator and who ever else reads this, is not offended or posting on the wrong website, because Kid Rock stopped me in my tracks this past December and got me through living in my car and staying out all night long, but those people who say me everyday at the Casino never knew anything was wrong in my life. I just lost everything again and this time it only took 4 months, last time it was 11 years of fucking bullshit. Well. I am free now and rightly so born free and I am making my stand right here and I am not cocky, I can, do, will back up that I think I am the best person on this whole planet for Don Henley. I will respect him and his space, but I think I can tell everyone and that won't upset him, he really looks and sounds like he is loosing the parts of him that are the best.
