    Fans Upset About Ford Field Tickets And What Not......

    I am a musician. I did not attend college and barley made it out of high school. I try my hardest to keep my ticket prices low, THIS I HAVE CONTROL OF.!! I can not control nor do i understand how the fuck the scalpers and all the secondary websites and bullshit get them. IF I COULD CONFRONT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FACE TO FACE I WOULD AND IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT TO WELL FOR THEM I GAURANTEE ALL OF YOU. I hate them, i feel like someone is beating up a close friend or family member while im chained to a chair. I try to understand it, i try to ask my managers and people in the buisness i know to help me understand it, but it seems they dont either. The only way i know right now to stop it is to not buy from these people or wait till the last minute when there scared they cant sell em and have to sell them cheap. I am not gonna apologize for something i cant control and it you wanna hate or blame me for it, go for it. But if your really pissed about it, research it and try to find out why its going on and let me know. alot of us are trying to figure out a better way, trust me, the last thing i want is some bottom of the barrel lazy fuck who wont get a real job ripping off my fans to get rich. And no, this post was not consulted w my mangers or publicist, they would probly say not to post it, but thats not how i do things. This is right from my computer to yours. I hope it helps to understand at least how i feel about people trying to get tickets in my fan club or any other way that turns out to be a let down, THAT IS NOT MY INTENTION OR WHY I GOT INTO MUSIC AT ALL. Maybe i should shut down the fan club, because i dont want anyone to think im screwing them and i cant keep the "bottom feeders" from joining it, YET! I try to think of better ways to do things all the time, especially for the fans, but my main focus is always my son and then writing good songs, without those two things, nothing is happening. I will keep my mind spinning trying to figure out a better way to get good tickets to my true fans, and it brings to mind a new song on the new cd "the least that i can do is care" unfortunatley thats not gonna be enuff in this case. trust me im on top of this and doing what i can. thx

Good for you for standing up and giving a shout out to your fans about ticket prices. Ticket prices can go overboard and I hope to be able to see you live on your new tour. Hopefully I get it right and can pay the right people. Your New Album has helped me through losing my kids and dealing with Multiple Sclerosis. It has uplifted me to a new beginning and brought me back to life after ten years of hurting and a broken heart. I has inspired me to be me again and not be afraid. I can't stop playing it. You're absolutely right, the only way to deal with scalpers is to NOT buy from them. It's a shitty situation. It's also one that you can't control at this point. Wish I had some words of wisdom to fix it but I don't. I DO have a husband who's built like a brick shit house and has been dyin' to kick the shit out of somebody so if you ever come up with a couple of names for those bottom feeders, lemme know. Well Hell Here goes again.. My first post got lost. Fuck those scum sucking bastards (ticket scalpers). Karma is a Bitch and they will get thiers. Don't let the pond scum come between you and your true fans. I ADMIRE YOU FOR STANDING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIVE IN. The publist's and the attorneys was not there when you needed them. Don't give the scalpers the satifaction of shutting down your fan club, they would only come out ahead in the end. Life is a bitch, this is the real world. We just have to learn how to deal with it. Giving in to it will not make it go away!. I must say and this is hard......LOL. I'm 46 and you are the only artist that I have bought all thier music. I even pre-ordered your new Cd Born Free. SSSShhhhhh, I didn;t tell my husband or kids, they already give me a hard time bucause you are all I listen to. They even bought me a copy when it come out in the store and I didn;t have the heart to tell them I already had it!. It's ticketmaster who is to blame here Kid. They sell some of the tickets to the General Public and pump the rest of them over to their secondary site called ticketsnow. There they can sell your tickets for double or triple the price and there is nothing anyone can do about it. I mean after all ticketmaster is in total control of the tickets. Possession is 9/10 of the law!

So, I totally get it... you can't help what's already happened~ sometimes life just isn't fair, huh? In any event, I know that I've bought tickets to other concerts, and there's some safeguard, sort of built-into the way you must purchase. You must use a credit card, then when you show up to pick up your tickets, you must have that credit card in your possession in order to retrieve those tickets. Of course, there is a limit of 4 tickets per purchaser as well, so I think that helps to cut back on the number of tickets a scalper can get their hands on. Just a thought Mr. Ritchie~ btw, we didn't get any tickets to this newest show at Ford Field, but my fam. and I have had the extreme fortune and pleasure of attending 4 other concerts of yours over the years here, including the last one at Pine Knob (DTE) this past summer. You are truly an awesome entertainer and a person I admire for your down-home spirit and the way you always give back. Hopefully, you'll try my suggestion, or come up with another way of keeping the tickets for real fans~ like us. Thanks so much for bein' real.....

Awwww it's really very kewl of you to respond to all your fans the way you do. Please don't get rid of the fan club that would suck :( The ticket sale problem has been going on for a long time now and it happens with every band and I wish someone knew a way to fix it because it really isn't fair. Maybe you should just make it a full out birthday tour or stream it live or do a pay per view thing. I'm sure it must feel pretty crappy reading that people are upset and I'm sure that's the last thing you wanted to do was upset your fans.......but it also must feel pretty damn good knowing that all of these people wanna have the chance to be there rocking out with you. Your posting shows once again what a deep down good guy you are Bob. Thanks for paying attention to your fans. Although I don't want The KRC shut down, maybe someone from your organization should look at it closer. I am no longer a member because of the cluster f*&k last year with the promised membership merchandise. It all seems so cold and corporate. But then again, I did use the site to purchase great pre-sale tickets to shows, the cruise and secured an invite to the VHI special. Bottom line, you have very loyal fans. Some of them have the means to pay out the ass for what they want-i don't know how anyone can ever get a handle on scalpers. They are as you say LAZY ASS BOTTOM FEEDERS and they will always find a way to get around the rules. Good luck with that. No way I can make it from Georgia for the birthday party-even though it is also MY BIRTHDAY ON THE 15TH. Would have been a helluva birthday for me to......Forty Field or the the Cruise? Been tryin to get tickets since they went on sale @ 10 am, my wifes the biggest Rock fan Ive known and the 15th is her 40th bday also. Shes been to every Rock concert thats been in Detroit. Do not personalize it. You are not responsible for what the scalpers do. You rock all your shows and they know they can sell your tickets. You can hire me to screen all ticket buyers and limit the number of tickets a person can purchase within a certain amount of time. I am sure on IT person can create a program that can pull and screen what a person buys and block them out of the system when they go for more tickets. Also, they could probably create a program that could screen the big ticket buyers and figure out who the scalpers are and block them from buying again. How about an East Coast concert soon?? Sue B

I left a fanclub because of problems like this and thought that I would never join another one. I figured that you would be different and I was right. No one ever took the time to write to the fans like you did. You are what going to concerts is supposed to be about. I had the same problems as everyone else and got lucky at the last minute. I'm coming from NY and it's my 40th bday year so I wanted to celebrate with you and will be up close for that. I wanted to tell anyone who did not get tickets to not give up yet. For the past couple of years I have gotten tickets to "sold out" shows as the date gets closer. I check ticketmaster a couple of times a week and eventually there are more seats available. I even showed up at a sold out concert and got tickets at the window. This has always been in NY/NJ area. I hope that this works out for all of you for this show. I'm looking forward to celebrating with all of the true fans!!!

I don't work as of this date I can't nobody in this world realises that they took alot of (dead) muscle out when they did the rotator cuff surgery to my right arm. it doesn't respond the way I'd like it too. Pain in a constant. Drugs are good. and getting stubborn is a GOOD THING. I remember the days I could work circles around a Man but those days are Gone and I know that . You need to take a lil NAP unload that CRAP... I will be there in spirit and I will finally after all the near meets will meet ya on the B-O-A-T...My daughter is in Seoul Korea so Im sticking Home Glued...
