The next stop on the club tour was Kansas City, MO! Thank you to all of our fans in Kansas City who came out to support the tour! The following local charities/foundations were recipients of CARE support. Please see each website for contact information!

    El Centro

El Centro's central mission is to strengthen communities and empower families through generating educational, social, and economic opportunities. They provide programs and services aimed at helping families to make the community a better place to live and work. Along with Kid Rock they reached out to lend a hand to Claudia Gonzalez who recently had to endure a terrible tragedy.

Claudia Gonzalez was severely burned in an apartment fire on October 1, as she tried to rescue her 3 children. She was not able to reach her 4-year-old son. Firefighters found his body in the apartment. Claudia is a single mother unemployed and uninsured. She has been heavily sedated and on a ventilator at a local hospital. Her right leg has been amputated. She had been unconscious and just recently found out about her son’s death and her leg. All CARE funding will go to the family to pay housing, follow-up medical care, hospital expenses and other miscellaneous expenses.

    Helping Hands Ministries

Helping Hands Ministries is a nonprofit organization that financially assists individuals who need it most. The CARE donation will go to Lenecia Weisbender.

Lenecia Weisbender, mother of 2 young girls, has been in a long-term battle with cervical cancer. She was at a local hospital where she had a radical hysterectomy, was given the all clear, only to have the cancer come back ten-fold. She went in for chemotherapy and radiation treatment, then ended up with an infection from gauze left inside her from an operation. She has since been in long-term stay at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa. Many hospital treatments are not covered by insurance and her insurance has run out on covered treatments. All funds will go to the family for medical treatments, living expenses, rent, utilities, etc.
