The second to last stop on the club tour was Boise, ID! A big thank you to all of the fans who came out to support Kid Rock and the tour! The following local charities/foundations were recipients of support. Please check out the websites for contact information!

    Make – A – Wish Foundation Idaho

Make a Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-a-Wish in Boise and helped grant the wishes of four special children.

Brett Bittinger is a 17-year-old boy battling leukemia. His wish is to be an actor. Make-A-Wish is looking for a TV/Film acting opportunity and funds will pay for his travel to shoot. Myra is a 4-year-old child who is battling maugnant histiocytosis, a life threatening medical condition. Myra's wish is to meet a princess in Disney World. The funds will be used for her family's airfare, to stay at the Give Kids the World resort, special princess party, and passes to the park. Bailey is a brave three-year-old battling leukemia whose wish is to go to Disney World. She will share her wish with her 5-year-old sister and her Mom and Dad. Hailey is a 10-year-old with cerebral palsy and seizure disorder. Her wish is to have a backyard play system so she can play outside with her two brothers and sister. Hailey loves being outside and loves all animals.

    Keep Kids Warm

Keep Kids Warm helps Treasure Valley families make it through tough times and cold winter months because no child should be cold at Christmas. In 1996 the KIZN morning show (Mark Rivers and Rich Sommers) had been giving away cash with a "Song of the Day' contest the previous few weeks. The contest had come to an end but listeners were still calling about it. When they explained on air that the contest was over the studio phone rang and there was a young girl named Christina, asking "If I can't win money, can I win some heating oil for my family...our house is cold and we just want to be warm for Christmas..." Mark and Rich and listeners were floored and donations started to come in. By the end of the morning, an account had been set up and Keep Kids Warm was born. Over $17,000 was raised that year which helped Christina and other families around the Treasure Valley area.

    The Idaho Food Bank

The Idaho Food Bank provides food, information and support services to hungry people. Their ultimate goal is for hunger to cease to exist in the state of Idaho. Specifically, the CARE funds will be used for the Backpack Program that provides hungry children meals over the weekend when they don't have access to free and reduced meals at school. $229.40 will provide one child with a backpack that contains 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners and 2 snacks, milk & juice every weekend for the entire year.

That's pretty amazing that for $229.40... that this amount provides one child breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then some.. every weekend for the entire year *knowing how much I spend at the grocery store a month for two adults which is triple that* WoW ! I gotta tell ya... I took the time tonight to go re-read every stop of the tour, and who & what the 'Care Funds' were given towards... and I'm just truly taken back. I was 24 when I started 'Kid Rockin' up and down the block' now 36.. and now more then ever counting every blessing of my life. This has been quite an eye opener.... especially with the new chapter in my life, it's gone hand in hand. Bob's music always has, for some reason, gone along with the chapters created in my world.. thru the years. Kinda weird.. but he's truly a man of the people in which he performs for.. so it don't take a rocket scientist to get that one. But, one things for sure, I've never wanted to give as much as I have been, nor have I ever thought about all the wonderful things I've been blessed with. Thanks to the person behind the scenes.. creating all these lil 'Care Tour Stops' reads. I like how in each one of them.... there's a big Thank You to every fan that came out to support Kid Rock and the band for that particular show. I just gotta say Thank You !! Mr. Ritchie for opening our eyes, giving us something to believe in, and creating so much good with-in your music... and sharing it with all of us. God Bless each and every recipient of the Care grants... thanks for sharing the stories. The story that I can most relate to is of Josie... nuff said Merry Christmas all
