It should be called simply”ROCKS”. For the following reasons:
1. It obviously idenifies the person who represents the beer.
2. Its simple & VERY unforgettable…”I need a 12 pack of ROCKS…..”Who wants to throw in on a case of ROCKS?….”Yo, I’ll have a bottle of ROCKS”….
3. It can be used in cool slogans….”No one ROCKS you like we do”…”America ROCKS”…”Detroit always ROCKS”….
4. The logo could be a mountain view with the eagle(s) in flight.Blue sky. American flag or colors incorporated somehow….maybe 1 of the mountains could be red, white& blue. Again, obvious representations of the person behind the brew.
*I should be paid for this!!!*

I suggest Kid Rock City (a nod to Kid Rock and to Detroit):
Kid Rock City (KRC), American Bad Ass Beer
If you brew a brown ale or dark beer:
KRC, American Bad Ass Beer, Twisted Brown Trucker (TBT)
I read the article in today’s Lansing State Journal. It’s so great that we could keep this business venture in Michigan. Who better to support and advance Michigan’s economy in these tough times than our favorite son, Kid Rock? Thank you.
If you’re at Michigan Brewery in Webberville, don’t forget about me. I’m in Lansing and would love to taste test.

Some of you are on the right track. I posted here 5 months ago that Kid formed a joint venture with Drinks Americas out of Wilton CT to bring his line of beers to market. You should take a look at the stock DKAM that will be behind Kid’s beer. With BUD jumping ship and going abroad, Americans no longer have an American beer to call their own. It’s expected Kid’s beer sales will surpass all current expectations and the brewery in MI that was selected will not be large enough. That alone means the stock will probably see at least a 1000% rise or more.
As far as the names of the beer go, it’s like this. Kid and the company formed American Bad Ass Beer Company for his beers. They have filed a host of trademark names already, so none of our guess will matter. However, Kid is going with the Red, White, and Blue theme and it is somewhat comedic; true to Kid form.
The names filed so far are Bad Ass Beer, KR, Rock Red, White, Blue, and Redneck Beer.
Doesn’t that get yer head swirling? I can just hear it now at my local tavern. “Hey barkeep?? How’s about some of Kid’s Cold White Ass Over Here?” or……”Bartender? Sure does smell like White Ass in this place!” or……”Line ‘em up! I need to do me some Rednecks” or…….”Just give me some plain old Red Ass and make sure there’s lots of head.”
Right now, it’s expected that the Rock Red will be a Honey Lager, the White will be a Pale Ale, and the Blue will be a Light Beer.
I sure wish it was out now for Mardi Gras but you can rest assured a record number of cases will be sold at Sturgis this year. Samples are available if anyone is near Lansing at the brewery. You should see it in select Midwest markets in a couple weeks and then nationwide by springtime.
Kid Fans should be over the top excited. The CEO of Drinks Americas is a 30 year beverage veteran and his beer man on the Board of Directors is 25+ years in the beer business. He founded SoBe which you’ve all heard of. Well, the CEO says that this initial release of Kid’s Beer is “technically the best product we have ever produced.” That comes on the heels of launching the #1 best selling vodka in history in first year sales in Trump Vodka, and the #1 Best Tasting Flavored Vodka in the World in Trump Grape Vodka.
So, as they have all been saying, Kid is single handedly creating jobs where Ford and GM can’t lay people off fast enough. His stock in DKAM also could easily single handedly revive everyone’s 401K with America’s Beer as his own. You owe yourself the time to go check it out and I’ll be back to let you know the instant Kid’s Beer leaves the brewery and where it’s going.

February 21st, 2009 at 10:15 pm
Hi I was thinkin All Summer Long as a brand that would be cool
February 22nd, 2009 at 12:38 pm
I think that Kid Rock should call his new brew, “Rocks” and his new cigar line “Twisted Browns”
Then he could write songs about them to promote them.
Smoking a “Twisted Brown” while chugging on some ice cold Rocks. Sound Good?
February 22nd, 2009 at 1:32 pm
I think that Kid Rock should call his brew America Bad Ass.
February 22nd, 2009 at 1:44 pm
I think you need to combine Canadian Girl and SherZ for the winner. Call it – South of Heaven: A GUILTY Pleasure. Who wouldn’t want to try that? Good luck on the venture and way to go on bringing a little “stimulus” of your own to Michigan!

February 24th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
There’s not a better way to describe the taste, purpose, and the name Kid Rock without saying one phrase. The ever so popular “Chillin the most”. It just fits. Peace fuckers!!
February 24th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
ALL AMERICAN BAD ALE
February 24th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
Since the bottling co. is probably wanting to capitalize on what you built into the name of Kid Rock over the years…. although other names may better describe you, like for intance, Bobby Brew
… I am pretty sure they want the name KR associated in the brand name. Then there are names that your most dear, if you will, fans associate you with like Cowboy and such…. but you are not going after just them. Your target market is that of a much wider spectrum. I think of names like, Bud, Miller, Coors, what comes to mind…. SIMPLE. With that being said,
all that keeps coming to my mind is ROCK, ROCK LITE. With a pic of Kid Rock in cowboy hat at the top corner of the “R” – the lid on the amber bottle, could have a KR over the same Kid Rock pic that would be on the label or you could use Bulldog ( smiles )…. if this isn’t it, maybe something in here will help to spark an idea…. it’ll be great whatever is decided I’m sure – go get em Tiger:)

Wow! The Yahoo hits on Kid Rock Beer are at an unprecedented 23,400,000 and climbing rapidly. This is huge news all by itself. Somebody here needs to call the company and speak to Mr. Davidson, the guy in the article. Michigan representing in a big way as initial sales requests are out of sight. 203 762 7000
February 26th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Claudia asked me to post this idea for her…
BOBBY BREW!

Its probably going to be something basic like simply “AMERICA” or “DETROIT” or “MICHIGAN” or “ROCK” however I do like the previous suggestions like “Shotgun Blast” “Red, White, and Brew”. Another suggestion just came to my mind is “Hillbilly Brew” or “Hillbilly Stompin”

Hey Kid Rock,
Check this out; we’re long time fans & also award winning craft brewers with a production brewery in planning in Southern California. We think it is really cool that you’re supporting Michigan and creating jobs for people. We’re a very patriotic brewery with three very cool brands and more on the way. If you want to get involved in a brewery in So. Cal….look us up.
June 26th, 2009 at 11:37 pm
