Kid Rock, Billy Sims and Braylon Edwards were recently added to the list of participants in the Curtis Granderson Celebrity Shootout, event spokesman John Fuller said Tuesday.The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Lake Orion High School.Adult tickets are $20. Admission for students and children is $15. Event proceeds will benefit the Grand Kids Foundation, which Tigers centerfielder Curtis Granderson established to aid inner city schools throughout Michigan.Tickets are available through the Lake Orion High School athletic office, DC Sports in Sterling Heights and at GrandKidsFoundation.org.An autographed picture of Granderson will be given to the first 500 fans. Raffle prizes include two tickets to the World Baseball Classic games in Toronto on March 7; Granderson has agreed to play in the tournament for Team USA.

Let me first say Happy Birthday! I know it isn’t for a couple days but today is mine so what the hell. Capricorns rock! I thing that’s great for you to take the time and go to the high school for this event, it will surely add to the outcome. The Atlantic City show coming fast dude, it’s going to be a blast. I went last year and we partied all night. I hope you can make it to Philly this year for a show or something, anyway take care and see you soon!!!

The game sounds like fun. I know the kids & crowd will enjoy it. What an awesome way to spend some of your birthday….knowing you are starting another year helping others. You’re the best! Have a great 38th. I am 2 years behind ya and always dread the next one! I guess it’s good to know we are still young enough run up & down a gym floor. Keep life fun!
