Friday, May 30th, 2008

Kid Rock just shot a new, National Guard commercial in Long Beach, CA at Los Alamitos Military Base. He will be joined by the brave men and women of the National Guard and NASCAR superstar, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Kid Rock wrote a new song, ‘Warrior’, that will be the featured song in the campaign and will be made available for download by the National Guard in September. The commercial will air nationwide at cineplexes across the US in September and October. The commercial is being directed by Academy Award winning director, James Mangold.

Bobby just goes and proves once again what a wonderful man he truely is….much more than a singer and songwriter, but a true humanitarian. He doesn’t just sing his songs…HE LIVES THEM. My Dad served in Vietnam, so anytime anyone does something to show appreciation to our citizens fighting in the military, I have to say THANK YOU! Wish I could have been there.

A lot of celeberities these days just don’t give a damn. They bash the military for doing what the president has told them to do - these outstansing men and women of the United States military are second to none and have provided the balnket of freedom that we have slept under for over 225 years. God Bless you Bobby for showing your appreciation for them with this and your numerous trips to Iraq, even on Christmas Day, to support them.

Hey Realist, don’t worry about that guitar. I was the one who won it and I will be having it professionaly mounted in a shadow box to keep forever, forget that E-bay crap. Yes, the video shoot rocked and Kid was the best “host” anyone could ask for. You animals in the front row made it the best! I lost my voice about half way through but it was worth it. Too bad there were not more crazies in the house but it made it more like a cool bar concert instead of a big stadium scene. The best thing about it was that everyone had fun and the screaming never really stopped even when the cameras were not rolling. Kid, you’re the best and I can’t wait to see the finished commercial. Trust me, all of us Soldiers appreciate all you do. It really shows true respect when a rocker like you takes the time to hang with us. Thanks and Rock On!
