DULUTH, Ga. — Kid Rock caused a scene at a Waffle House on Tuesday, but this time it was on purpose.
The entertainer came to sign autographs for hundreds of fans during a fundraiser at a suburban Atlanta diner. The event came just a week after Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, pleaded not guilty to a charge of battery from a fight last fall at another Waffle House in metro Atlanta.
Waffle House spokeswoman Kelly Thrasher said the Atlanta-based company wanted to “take a negative situation and turn it into a positive situation.”

So…6 more shows in 9 days. I bet you’ve never wanted to see Toledo, Ohio so bad in your life. A short spring break then you’ll start hammering it again in April; with videos, concerts and publicity basically every other day. Listen… it’s probably strange that I’m even giving thought to this and I understand why this album in particular and its monstrous success is very important. And best album, best song, whatever… would be a great “f- - - you” to a few certain people oh hell, a lot of people. I just don’t want 2008 to be (probably one of many) pinnacle years for you and then you spend 2009…well…in rehab or something. I know, “turned yourself around and went down another path.” Maybe I’ve seen one too many Rockumentarys, E! Hollywood Stories, whatever regarding life on the road. You know, Sissy Spacek fainting on stage and taking pills and shit in Coal Miner’s Daughter. Of course, you do have the Reverend with you so he probably keeps things coupersètique. Just know, that outside of the assholes who can’t think of any better a slam than “Kid Pebble” and the whiners who think YOU should be doing so much more for THEIR cause; there’s hundred’s, no- thousands who want you to be…well, truthfully…happy, healthy and successful at the same time and not have to give up one for the other. Keep on ROCKin’ us, baby. I want my kids (9 yrs & 6 yrs) to buy a “Greatest Hits of Kid Rock” box set someday.

I was there at the Waffle House and brought my youngest son also to see you.It was worth evey mile I drove(From NC),andevery hour we stood in line just to get to meet you.It was awesome that you did all you did with all you already had to do.I could see that even though you were very tired, you were so nice to everyone. It was awesome to get to meet you, I just wish I had let the lady with the record company take our picture instead of the guy behind me because he never sent them to me.God I wanted those pictures so bad, but my son wamted his even more.Matbe we will get the chance again(I sure hope so) because he (my son Elijah) was so excited and already told me he wanted it framed to keep forever.Of course I did also.I don’t see how you keep going, the concert you put on just 4 hours after the Waffle House was awesome!!You are a very sweet and kind man.I’m not a stalker, but I do attend every concert within reasonable driving distance from me.I have seen you this year on March 1,March11,March15, and will see you on May 3,13 and maybe the 13 as I have a aunt who lives in Orlando and it’s about time for a visit.I’m just waiting for the tickets to go onsale for the events.I would love to get backstage passes to one of them as I have tied very hard for the past 3 shows but had no luck yet, but I want give up.You stay safe touring, k?Peace and Luv,Corine

I realize by now The Waffle House Saga is old news but is it not comical that the spokewoman’s name was Kelly THRASHER? Is that not just asking for it?
