I run a center for grieving children, teens and their families. I have been doing this for 16 years and absolutely love what I do. Both of my parents died while I was in my 20's and just last November my sister died from suicide right before her birthday on November 8th. Born Free came out on November 16th and I listened to it for the first time on what would have been my sister's birthday- November 17th. "Born Free" means a lot to me because that's the epitome of my sister. So does "When it Rains" because I kept feeling her hand on my shoulder after she died. When we were going through her things, I found a handwritten note by my sister. She had rewritten the liner notes that are in all of Kid Rock's CDs. "If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But ... If it's real, you'll feel it." Her note is my profile picture. Thank you for helping to ease my pain during one of the hardest times in my life.
