I once was invited to a historic event where a certain individual whom I admire was to be in attendance. Unfortunately on the day of this event, I was feeling unwell. Not wanting to miss anything I loaded myself up on otc cold remedies and some rx pain meds to deal with a wicked sore throat. This enabled me to maintain an illusion of wellness for the evening. Great. Well, it wasn't so great when I found myself so excited to be in the presence of said individual that I couldn't eat my dinner, started to hyperventilate and felt so much better when my ticket broker & companion for the evening insisted that I drink a double vodka to quell my excitement... Needless to say, I have no recollection whatsoever of the latter part of the evening, other than some horribly embarrassing photos and one hell of a story told by none other than my mortified dinner companion!
