Been sailing quite a bit, and lots of boating on the rough Great Lakes, but never on a cruise before. No seasickness here, thank goodness.

I had to snicker at your geek census post--I'm a freaky geeky, too! I have been checking out the side trips, etc. for the CTM tour--there is one that is an eco tour that I will probably go on (as everyone else rents their seadoos and cabanas,lol)..I am a huge nerd birdwatcher, and cannot miss the opportunity to check out some of the wildlife (natural) on the island!
Also, I kind of regret not booking on the Lido deck, as all of the action will be there, but on the other hand, it is kind of nice to get away from all of that if you want to (I'm on deck 11.) Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and touch base.

I have lived here only 10 years but also have family that has been here since the early 1900's. If you ever come visit we'll have to party it up at the Buckhorn! I think it's been here since the early 1900's! :)
Ahh.. thanks LK : ) Mom just sent a Christmas card to the house and it was personalized.. she said I was the best daughter one could ever have.. pulled on the heartstrings quite a bit. Thanks for keeping us in your prayers.. just keeping the faith day by day, ya know. Those videos were kick-ass.. thanks so much for sharing.. hey hey, so ended up being 3 shows, i met the tour manager in denver and said i was from aus and he hooked me up with early entry and shit in washington and i said im in san fran in a few days but that show sold out, he said done your in, so we went to that show and the crew is awsome they got me in to meet kid, who said he plans on comin to aus next year and i get entry again, then kid says hes guna get us some merch so a few mins later the crew comes n gives us 6 shirts, 4 hats, posters, backstage passes and a few other lil things, i also found 3 really old vinyls for him to sign which he was impressed that i had, then the TBT were asking for us afta the show to go chill and have some more drinks, all awsome guys, only bad thing about the week was my 2 fave bands kid rock n metallica played on stage tgetha the nite b4 and i didnt have a ticket but i got more than i ever expected so cant complain, so yeh this was all pretty full on and a fuckin blast

So great to hear that you are getting back to the things you love to do. Kinda sounds like something that comes out in the mail each month round here. We have a magazine that comes called Berks and Beyond. It advertises different businesses in the community. I think it's quite nice for the local mom and pop places still left.. 'not many', but yea. haha.. I'm total opposite.. I'm not good at selling things. Hubby is.. but I suck..lol

Thanks for asking lil Sugar Plum : ) My mom is at the point of just holding on as far as God will continue to take her in this life. She was back in the hospital about a month ago for diverticulitis. After this past weeks cat scan they told her that she truly needs the surgery to cut out the bad part of her colon. Unfortunatly, the docs won't operate on her for that.. because she still have three very serious heart defects that need to be operated on. At this point, I feel she is dancing around what all the docs are telling her so that she doesn't get surgery done... kinda blaming one of the problems on the other so that she don't have to go thru with this surgery. This very well may be my last Christmas with her the way things are going. It's been tough.. because right now she's still so very full of life.. wanting to go on with it. I feel the only way this surgery is gonna take place is if she ends up back in the hospital, and they have to do something in an emergency type way to save her life. Just typing this out makes me VERY sad.. as I really didn't put things into perspectus.. and tend to push things away that are sad and hard to take.. but it's so daam real : ( Other then this.. LK, things are really nice. I'm working part time still at the hotel.. and able to still collect. Just feeling like something beyond what I can see and hear is guiding me thru.. if ever I needed time off of a stressful job.. it's when I'm losing my mother, ya know? People say things happen for a reason.. so true?
How bout you? Any luck in finding anything? I just can't believe how horrible it is out there. We just had a college grad apply for a housekeeping position and he got it.. now making same as me.. minimum wage part time and collecting. I'm learning to adapt well to what we are making for the time being. Two words: Dollar Store..lol .. oh and for clothes: Goodwill and Salvation Army.. like Paradime says.. I've seen better days..haha

RIGHT!! except for the "most if not' part :) imho I'm a little :( that this is winding down but i hope he spends some time working on the new album and actually slows his roll! *I Wish 2!!* There is some good stuff out there from the shows, but uTube got hijacked! few if any fan videos. I liked getting the vids the next day.
na never been to the states before this is my 1st trip over seas, always wanted to go there caus my life is music so had to to to LA and so on and see as many bands as i could, and luckily enough a few of my fave bands have gigs within the same few weeks, im flying to denver and washington for the shows there then i found out he is playing in san fran on my night off when im there but the gig is for some radio show and sold out in 7 mins and was never announced on here, so il just go for a walk down to the gig and see if i get lucky and get it somehow, as for meeting kid rock u are so lucky that would be so cool, id love to have a beer with the man, i entered those meet n greets so lets hope a miracle happens there
hey there, in not in america yet i leave on satday so got a few days in LA before my 1st kid rock show, iv never even seen a live show on dvd or anything just rare live clips, he should make a film clip and live dvd he has so mant film clips, the set lists hes playing look awsome aswell, new and old stuff, what shows are u going to on this tour?
i'm definitely flying home for Christmas--Dad answered the phone tonight--and i was like "Hi Dad :-)" ---He was like, "Yah?" I'm like "it's me---your oldest kid-"--and then He was like "Hi Sweetie" "Here's your Mom"-----Mom sounds like She's trying to hold everything together---Uncle Donnie is supposed to come home tomorrow---He is going to need a Minimum of 6 months of Physical Therapy---and His blood pressure isn't under control---so they are saying that He may have another stroke anyday :-(
i am going home as soon as i can.
THANK GOD my Cousin--- Cherie--His Daughter is a Radiologist in Marquette---She went up there today demanding to see His chart----Lol----She will ~J-kat if need-be--lol :-)
I took my daughter to Churchill's War Museum in London last December and I had the hardest time getting her out of there. It was Churchill's underground bunker. She was just fascinated with all the WWII history. I got her out by telling her we were going to walk the crosswalk at Abbey Road just like the Beatles did. I, too, am a geek but for me it's classical literature. Reading David Copperfield right now.
Went with Chrome. I agree this site is a bit much...up, down, back 'n forth. I'm not on Facebook though so here I will stay. Jade was having a problem with the site a few days ago. I wonder if it isn't something with this place?? Going to any of his club concerts? We're still waiting for Detroit dates!
Our 2 golden retrievers weigh over 100 lbs. each. The sweetest dogs I've ever had and yes, I hug them all the time :)
kid needs to hire you because you seem to be able to give better advice than the so called administrators. I say fire them all and call LK Kid. People would enjoy the site more if they actually knew how to use it. I say everyone give Kid a shout out and tell him to hire LK because these other people are not cutting it as site administrators.
