Kentucky Wildcat

I'm an only child, and for years I wanted to show my mom how much I appreciated her. Last year, I saved up and took her on a much deserved vacation! After putting up with me for twenty-six years, she well rewarded. We first travelled to New Orleans, to see the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. She is in the pink, and I am in the white shirt. We are in the French Quarter in this picture with our tour guide. It's a sad reality how damaged this place still is. Many families are still dislocated, and it's a sad day in America when we have this kind of damage at home. After a two day visit in New Orleans, I drove my mom to Panama City Beach, Florida for two days on the beach. It was spring break, so we had to head back to reality. My mom was very appreciative, but she gives to so many people, charities, and family members, but she rarely has time for herself. I am nominating my mom, not myself, for the "It's Good To Be Me" concert, because, yes it is good to be my mom!!!
