Born and Raised in Detroit area. Moved after college. Still call "The D" home and appreciate all living positively to represent it. Thankful Kid Rock is one...he has earned my respect and now I am fan as a result... KR and I ran in similar circles in our late teens. I recently started looking at old photos where we crossed paths. Whether breakdancing at a roller rink, or backstage at Wreckx N Effect concert we shared the same space many times. One recollection, he came up to me while I was DJing a high school party and said..."sucked and it should have been him..." Years later he walked into my parents house while looking for another party in Mt. Clemens/Chesterfield area...which led to friends believing that I actually knew him. Even though I didn't personally, could have called via connections. No longer, but if I could...would 1st apologize for making fun of his hair sticking straight up (product cost aside), and 2nd THANKS for many things, including music and memories of home.
