Yes, I do take it personally... because I leave here feeling that because we have different political ideals on some things I am viewed as lesser of a person or lesser of an American. It IS possible to disagree and have people leave with their dignity in tact, but there has to be mutual respect. My discussion on schooling was not solely based on "faulty books" (more degradation)- rather it was based on my own experience, which also did not pass muster with you. The books I mentioned to you were simply a suggestion of well-respected sources (NY Times bestsellers) you might find interesting, and haha might find more credible to look at than what I had to say since my thoughts/observations clearly weren't worth shit to you despite my extensive knowledge and first-hand experiences regarding education.

However, it is true that if a person leans the slightest left here that you can expect to need to defend yourself or your beliefs to people who have already decided you are not worth listening to.
