Now get in the pit and try to love someone.
There are two bands that I'm a die hard fan of, Metallica and of course the K.I.D. No one puts on shows and gets the crowd going like them. Unmatchable pyrotechnics! I have seen both every time they've come to metro Detroit for I don't know how many years now.
This time, for the Comerica Park show, I gotta say, I'm hugely disappointed. Michigan has the highest unemployment rate in the country. Our economy is shot. Die hard fans should not have to pay $250 - $800 to get close to the stage. That's rediculous! Under no circumstances should a concert ticket be that expensive. I know it comes with the bobblehead, baseball bat, and some other swag, but any fan that pays for a ticket should get a fair shot at seeing the show up close.
The rest of the seating was actually very well priced; cheaper than I'd expected. Unfortunately, after all the special pre-sales, by the actual on sale date, there was nothing left. Even with a pre-sale password, tickets were hard to get. So now the ones who hold the tickets are the people on craigslist and e-bay and the secondary ticket companies charging double and triple price. Even the $99 six pack nose bleed tickets are a minimum of $69 a piece now. These aren't fans, they're scam artists.
I'm not saying that KID is responsible for this, but maybe another show or two should be added so the fans can actually see the concert and these rip off artists can't make their profits. I understand that there will always be someone looking to make a profit in a less than honorable way, but this time it's absolutely disgusting!
