I am a true blue Red Wing through and through and if I had a chance or strength to hoist that sucker I would, no matter who's house it was in, total bull crap trying to make a mountain out of nothing...

Here's the response from a commenter called Las_Vegas_Slim:

It's the Stanley Cup, baby! If I'm near it and I can touch it, or better, hoist it, I'll do it. Besides, a true sports fan and good sportsman always congratulates the winners and enjoys their success too. Only an ignorant idiot would call Kid Rock or anybody in this position a "traitor". Boy Howdy.

Oh Trust me. I bet there are alot of Wings fans feeling betrayed. Its ridiculous but ITS HOCKEY!!!!!!lol

stories like this are such manufactured bullshit. What was he going to do, refuse to hold it and tell um to fuck off? being polite and playing along doesn't mean he's a "traitor". so stupid!

Anybody have a picture of the top deck of the boat crowded from the Chillin the Most Cruise. Like looking down on it all. I'd love to see it or get a copy!! I want to go on his next cruise. Not sure if I will be able to. :( I don't even know how to get the tickets. I heard it's hard to get them. Lots of steps to go through.

I think it was cool!! He likes having his concerts in Chicago as well as many other places. Just helping Chicago celebrate. That's all there was to it. Everybody knows he is the son of Detroit. He's very proud of where he is from and he sould be. :)

Hi Angel...knew K.R. was friends with many Detroit players...didn't realize he had the cup at his flipping house drinking out of it, only him...lol
Anyone standing beside that cup would have done the same thing, don't think there is any disloyalty in what he did.
Get em tiger xx good job Bob!

Oh please...this person has run out of things to write about.
When in doubt write something negative about Kid Rock....and his loyalties???
Sum people are just dickheads...lol

Darren McCarty was filling in for Valenti yesterday, he had no problem w/ his hoisting the cup and he's a Red Wing. Besides, Kid did say, 'Ok Chicago, Detroit is just lending you the cup.' And we will get the cup back next year especially since they signed Modano!!

Whatever, this person is obviously not a True Hockey Fan!
It's the Stanley Cup for god's sake, who wouldn't hike it up if given the opportunity?
Geesh....

Kid Rock cheats on Red Wings, holds Blackhawks' Stanley Cup during recent tour stop in Chicago

Thursday, August 05, 2010

Jessica Nunez | MLive.com

What happened to being a die-hard Red Wings fan?

During a tour stop in Chicago this past weekend, Detroit singer Kid Rock did the unthinkable for most Wings fans -- he lifted the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup to the crowd at Soldiers Field.

While his Chicago fans surely loved it, Kid Rock might be dealing with some unhappy Detroiters when he returns to the Motor City next weekend for his back-to-back shows at DTE Energy Music Theatre.

You can check out the photos for yourself on the artist's website.

Click on Detroit readers have already been commenting extensively on the story, with most people saying they don't hold it against Kid Rock and that he was merely doing what any good entertainer would do in front of a large crowd of fans.

Here's the response from a commenter called Las_Vegas_Slim:

Besides, a true sports fan and good sportsman always congratulates the winners and enjoys their success too. Only an ignorant idiot would call Kid Rock or anybody in this position a "traitor". Do you agree? Or do you think Kid Rock should keep his hands off the cup until it's in Detroit?
