Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doin things that you don't understand
But if you love him
You'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh, be proud of him
Cause after all he's just a man
Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
when nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man
Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
See, I think they sound similar on earlier CD's with rap...difficult sometimes to tell them apart when they were younger, but Kid's voice to me has matured & deepened more, and is quite a bit more raspy...could be the differences with songs too, dunno...just to me their voices aren't that similar sounding when singing. Kid's voice is much more energetic & powerful to me as well, more emotion felt.
Like I said, I've only listened to it once, but I also prefer more of a rock sound...and Krackers is more Country POP, which my personality & ears aren't usually a fan of. Classic Country I do enjoy listening to, but not so much the new stuff...in fact, most of it I don't like at all.
I'm not a fan of songs like the one you call "My Girlfriend" either...but then I'm not a fan of Chevy Chase and movies like Dumb & Dumber...not my sense of humor. I prefer more natural occuring humor. I laugh on this website all the time at things people say or do...because it's REAL, regardless of sometimes being silly & dumb, it's still happening for real. Hope that makes sense with explaining my sense of humor. It's just 'me', haha. :)
I do like smile but I have to say my favorite song on the album is good to be me. I like the beat of it and it's more mellow. But I too am so use to rocking out to Kid Rock and T.B.T that Uncle Krackers album was a lot different than what I am use too. But it did grow on me after listening to it a few times.
I love every single song on the CD. I love smile cause its for his girls.
My girlfriend is hysterical. Hot Mess Makes me dance. Corner Bar is a song for our times.
another love song excellent. Im not leaving One of my favs of all time.
Outstabding album but I like most all types of music. and its wierd to me that you dont care for kraCkers voice but like bOBS cause I think they sound alot alike. They both have that raspy I smoke to much sexy voice. lol
I need to listen to my Happy Hour CD more than I have. I've only listened to it once, and maybe it need's to grow on me. Suppose I'm so use to Kid & TBT music rocking out...Kracker is a bit laid back by comparison, different genre, and I'm not adjusting. His voice isn't appealing to me like Kid's is either. There were a couple songs on it that sorta clicked, but 'Smile' wasn't one of them. I didn't care much for the song his girlfriend dumped him for a girl either...not cause of the Lesbian suggestion, just seemed like a dumb dorky song to me, but to each their own.
I suppose I'm more of a true rock personality, with a bit of hip/hop, rap, classic oldies, & classic country flavoring now & then, hahaha. Anyway, I'll listen to Kracker's CD again, but thinking his style of music isn't gonna be mine.
