Love when the arenas, be it The Joe, Palace, Ford Field, or Comerica, play Boston's 'Can't stop Believing.' Each and every fan stands up and sings at the top of their lungs. "BORN AND RAISED IN SOUTH DETROIT." We have a Southwest side and a Southeast side, we have a Northwest and a Northeast side, but no South Detroit, that is why we sing that so loud, cuz our South Detroit neighbors are actually our fine neighbors whom live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. So proud of the Wings tonight. WOW, we have to keep this game going. GO WINGS!!!
Ty made Downriver proud. I was sitting next to a lady from Southgate whom I had never met before and we went crazy when he started talking about Downriver. I think he appreciated that. Ty said he was so honored to play at the hoedown and was quite genuine.
Glad it didn't rain...though it looked like shit & was cold:] Hope someone took a video, if so post it please!! My youngest was asking today if we were going :(
I didn't rain-Ty did great. He sent a t-shirt my way with a giant shooter but the lady next to me got it.
Heading to the Hoedown to see Ty---rain, rain, go away...
Ok thank you for the advice. The grandparents are the only ones that watch my boys, it's my parents wedding anniversary & don't want to impose, though I know they would if I asked. My mother-in-law is usually available, but when they sleepover on Sat. nights she wants to take them to church on Sunday & the last time that happened it scared the crap out of my 7yr old. He couldn't get to sleep that night talking about putting blood on your doors...I don't know what it was, something they were teaching in bible school....so needless to say I'd rather she not have the kids over on Saturday nights! I'll talk to my husband tonight, he was gonna talk to some coworkers & see if anybodies been there before. Hope ya'll have a great time & it doesn't rain.
It gets realllllllly crowded in the evening. I'd try and get a sitter. Isn't there anyone who could watch them? I have in the past called neighbor's teens whom I trust and if they couldn't do it, asked them for names of responsible classmates who wanted to babysit for some cold cash. It's fun and I'd hate for you to miss it. Hope you get to go. Country Rock on...
@RSMS- do ya mean at being too crowed, a safety issue or the kids not being able to anything? Well shit....can't get a sitter this weekend, so if we don't take them, we don't go:(
...last comment refers to both a surprise guest as well as a win.
That would be so nice, KRLO!
Have fun Mrs. Cedar. Greektown is too much fun. Plus we may be celebrating something else. If ya know what I mean
I will be there! Heading downstate tomorrow morning! whoot! can't pass up a good drunk in greektown!
Really crowded-not taking my kids.
It is pretty family friendly, but a lot of kids go down, and stay late. Probably good idea to leave after Ty's set. Have fun, great music either way!!
Well KR doesn't have any concerts that day, ya never know. It'll be our 1st time to the Hoedown, just to see Ty Stone play....bringing our sons 7 &10 does anybody know if it's family friendly.... I figure the later we stay the drunker peeps are, so we'd leave after Ty's done. I hope that KR shows up during Ty's set, my kids are HUGE fans they would get such a kick out of that.
