Summer event season is in full swing in the Quad City area. And as the events go on, so does severe weather.
Event organizers must plan for any possible weather conditions. Burlington Steamboat Days President and Des Moines County Sheriff, Mike Johnson, said organizers run through exercises with emergency management crews.
"We think of all possible scenarios that could happen at Steamboat Days," he said.

FYI, I do not influence my kid to hate Kid Rock. By showing her the GQ photos, my intention was simply that she would be scared straight!
I live in Saginaw, MI and work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I have heard that Kid Rock is playing at Boyne Mountain in Michigan on August 2nd. I am also aware that he has somehow become affiliated with MDA and will be appearing at the 105th Harley Celebration in Milwaukee, WI. I have been sent some materials that show his face along with one of our patients, Luke Christie. Being that Northern, MI is the area that I cover, I was wondering who I can talk to about having MDA at that concert and somehow raise some funds for the families in Northern, MI. I know that this is a little far fetched, but you just don't know until you ask!!! I take alot of pride in my job and will ask for just about anything if it means helping our families and finding a cure. I hope that the right person sees this and will act on my request. I am open to any information that anyone may have on how to get in touch with Kid Rock. Thanks:)

Boyne is really not a good choice for disabled ones. The hill is HELL and You stand on a wicked angle all night. And if it rains, there not one seat/spot covered. Slippery as hell on a good day. Not really handicap friendly. Sorry.

As far as contacting Kid, I've read several posts around here requesting such contact help for a variety of Charity organizations, events, causes. I'm not insensitive to your cause, or anyone elses...as I'm not an insensitive person & contribute in a variety of ways to charitable causes myself. However, I'm going to be direct, with intent to be helpful so you can focus your efforts elsewhere & possibly be more successful in your contact attempt.
You & others requesting personal or inside contact information on a world wide fan based website...more than likely have little chance of obtaining such information.
There are no doubt members here who have ways of contacting Kid Rock, however, you must please understand that unfortunately...anyone can claim anything on the internet, & many do. I've seen 100's such requests over the yrs I've participated at Kid Rock websites, some legit, some not. Many in today's society would go to any level of extreme to meet Kid Rock, of which I've witnessed also, unfortunately.
Those with the knowledge to help know this to be fact, & they're typically going to ignore such requests, nor contact him on another's behalf. It's a matter of principle, privacy, security, & respect between the famous & those who may know them on a more personal level, or have inside connections.
The professional & most successful way to contact Kid Rock, or any other celebrity...for such charitable events & causes is typically to go through the proper business channels, of which most organized charities do, such as MDA. His websites are not considered proper business channels for such requests. It is simply impossible for one man to fulfill the multitude of requests received such as yours.
