    The phrase "your arms are too short to box with God" is from the name of a Broadway musical based on the Biblical Book of Matthew, with music and lyrics by Alex Bradford. The complete title is Your Arms Too Short to Box with God: A Soaring Celebration in Song and Dance


    The phrase first appeared in James Weldon Johnson's poem "The Prodigal Son", which was published in his 1927 book of poems, God's Trombones: Seven Negro Sermons in Verse.

:-) thanks Donna! I love this song, too. I think there is more in this song, so I'll come back to it at some point. I'm not doing this project in any linear fashion, I'm kinda all over the place! lol
