TBT history question. Never heard the name Michael Rand.

When did he manage Bob and the band?

    Where is his agency located?

Blue October at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park at 7 p.m. ($41.50-$79.75; call 732-502-4581 for more information.) blueoctober.com.

Why you should go: Formed in 1995, this alternative rock group was discovered by Michael Rand, the former manager of Kid Rock. Blue October's first three releases did quite well, but it was with 2006's "Foiled That Blue" when Blue October's career really took off. The single "Hate Me" was a huge hit, peaking at No. 2 on the modern rock charts, and "Drilled a Wire Through My Cheek" made the soundtrack of "Saw III."
