I though you put on an amazing Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime Show performance in 2004. What did you ever do with the American flag poncho.

I so wish you would announce a Michigan summer concert date. I don't think there's been a summer that I haven't been to a Kid Rock concert since 2004 and it's just not summer without it- it's a tradition for me! Please do a Michigan girl a favor and make my summer complete!!!

Well it took me months to decide to write something von here hoping that kid rock will see it! I guess there is always some sort of hope, but anyways i got my husband n dad a very early Christmas...kid rock concert tickets. My dad you couldn't go :-( so my cousin ended up coming with us. For me n my husband go anywhere is really hard to do we got four kids n with him working all the time i knew he would love these tickets!! He didn't believe me cause we just were tryin to get back on our feet n that the majority of our money, still excited!!!! Til my husband got an infection in his leg and was sick. In the E.R. the night before the concert and the day after the concert i took him to the E.R. and they admitted him. My husband is a full blown redneck.... laying i the hospital bed crying ( never happens),from that much pain they took 4 hot sauce bottles of blood. He was in the hospital for most a week with infection in pretty much his entire calf and pneumonia. We went to the Filmore in Silver Springs Maryland for the concert, and he leaned against the wall the entire time. It was the only way he was comfortable. He asked around to see if there was a place he could sit and watch the show. They sat him on the second floor where he couldn't see. Finally they sat him in some empty seats in the handicapped area. When the show was over my husband went to the car while my cousin and i stayed to get tee-shirts for us and my dad. If we would have gotten our shirts 2-5 minutes faster we could have gotten your signature. My hushed sat in the car and watched you but wasn't able to get out due to the pain. It was an awesome fucking concert. To bad my husband couldn't remember the actual show. In a nutshell, i spent the last paycheck before his hospital stay on a concert he doesn't remember.

Kid Rock, buy my guitar for charity man!

I am a U.S. Army veteran from Denver, CO who has served 3 combat tours in Afghanistan. I am back in Afghanistan for the 4th time, and I've been here since April 2011 supporting the U.S. Military as a civilian contractor.

I wanted to do something to help the families who lost loved ones in the shooting. I don't have a lot of money, so I am auctioning my most valuable possession, a very nice custom-made Les Paul guitar, worth about $3,000.00, and giving the proceeds to the 12 families who lost their loved ones in the shooting. 100% is going to COVA, Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance, the official non-profit organization designated by the Aurora Police Department to collect and distribute donations on behalf of the victims and families. I'm going to work with them to make sure the money gets to the 12 families who's loved ones were killed.

Here is a link to the auction.

This story has generated local news interest:

http://denver.cbslocal.com/video/7551984-vet-in-afghanistan-finds-great-way-to-help-shooting-victims

I think this is a good cause and I'm hoping some celebrities or corporations will find out about it buy it for much more than what it's cash value is. Please help me get the word out to some rock stars who want to help victims of the shooting and get an awesome guitar. This is great publicity, a great cause, and a great guitar. There's only 2 days left on the auction. You're awesome for helping!!!

I am available to answer any questions you may have. Please also join the community to support victims and families of the shooting. Several people close to those at the theater have already joined and began sharing the story of survivors. http://www.facebook.com/LoveAurora2012

Dear Kid Rock,
I am sure you get letters like this all the time but my mom taught me that my dreams will come true if I believe in them so I am going to give it a try.
My name is Makayla Lynn and I am an 11 year old singer / songwriter / guitarist from Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been asked to play this summer at the Boots and Hearts Festival with you! I am the youngest performer playing there. I actually just played another big festival last weekend, Cavendish Beach and I got to play my very first set on the main stage in front of 17,000 fans! I opened for Lauren Alaina and Alabama and it was such a wonderful experience. I sat down with the guys from Alabama for a bit and they said they I have a big future ahead of me!
I began singing about 3 years ago and released 2 cds of all original music. I wrote every song on them and have written over 30 more since. I am currently unsigned and I fundraised with the help of my family to have my c.d.s recorded and produced. It lead me into so many wonderful things last year like playing in festivals all around the Canada and opening for acts like Charlie Major. I recorded them to have to take to Nashville when I go in October. I will be travelling to Nashville for 4 days and have already been asked to sing on 7 stages! I am so excited about it as I have never been there and I am really hoping to soak it all in.
I know I may bump into you at Boots and Hearts but it would mean the world to me to actually get to meet you and talk to you in person. My family and I are all such big fans. Your career is so inspiring! I work so hard everyday and last year I was fortunate enough to have gotten the chance to talk to Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Tanya Tucker, Rascal Flatts, Alabama and many other amazing artists. I felt so comfortable with them and I felt like that was where I was meant to be.
You may never get to read this but I hope so. To meet you at a meet and greet would be so inspiring to me!
Makayla Lynn

Just wanted to give you some feedback from your show in Minot on the 20th. I have been fan of yours for many years, seen you too many times to count all of yours shows are amazing some even magicial!!! I admire you for the work you do for our troops, your community and fans. While at the show my sister and i were brutally attacked twice by a group of 5 people! The first time I was held by two men and 1 woman beat me. My sister was attacked by the two other women. After the first time we did go to security and the local cops who did not assist. we removed ourselves to the opposite end of the venue after your show the lights went up and we were attacked again! We were helped by 2 bystanders who went and got the cop, sadly it was the same cop that didnt help the 1st time. Two of the attakcers were led were led away in cuffs and as you can imagine I thought arrested. They were not even after the cop saw them attacking us. I spoke with Ken Alexzander head of fair security who stated that they NEVER hire enough staff to anyone safe! When I went to the asst. manager Tammy Pelzer ( with my bruised swollen face) of the fair to express my concerns and request a refund she told me that Kid Rock was already paid and I enjoyed myself i wasnt getting one! Enjoyed being attacked not so much. I did end up getting a refund only after needing to call and speak with the Govonor. All that we ask from you is to never play there again. It is a very dangerous place for anyone that step onto the grounds. The people in the crowd are not fans, they don't know your music, your work with the troops ar anything about you. They didn't know you were from Detroit nor who Joe C was when his banner was let down! I remember seeing him with you on stage proud and strutting around like he owned the world!!! Again all that I ask is for you to consider your true fans and not play in Minot ever again. I would and have travelled all over to see you but never again to that dangerous place. Much Love

Lot's of "abandoned" buildings/homes being set a fire.....PLEASE tell me the building that was used in the CARE video is SAFE & SOUND!!! And if need be, let us know......we CAN barracade it and set up WATCH for these IDIOTS who like to play with matches. Ya MESS with Kid Rock (or anything "related") YA MESS with US!!! I Love You Kid Rock!! I would love to see a concert in Northern California, do you have any plans to come our way??

petereore's picture

Not that you are ever going to read this Bob, but just wanted to express my total disappointment in your show at Moondance Jam on Thursday, July 19th. Not only was the show abbreviated, (1 hr 20 minutes) but you did a medley of some of your hits. A medley..really!? I would expect that from an artist whose career spans 30 years of more, not from you. Then I heard you did the same thing in Minot the next night. Your song, F'n 40, talks about how Bruce Springsteen is still out there at 65. Yes, he is...doing over three-hour shows! What is your excuse? When asked about his tremendous effort on the court, game after game, even late in his career, Michael Jordan said "There is a fan in that arena who has never seen me play and they deserve the best of what I got." Finally, the merchandising thing, I read in another post how your concert shirts are not made in America. Along with that, you would not allow your name to be put on Moondance T-shirts or mugs, unless you were getting a piece of action. That's sad, sure, do the people who put on these music festivals make a lot of money from the merchandising? Of course they do, but they are also the people who take that money and put it back into the local communities through tax dollars and donations to non-profit organizations. Detroit is not the only community hurting in this economy. It's not like you're in the poorhouse. But if you continue to shorten your shows and pull these merchandising stunts, word will get around, and fans will drop you...like a Rock.

Just joined. Saw you in Minot friday night. Great show! I love that you came back after our huge flood last year. I love the fact that you love america. I love that you are doing so much to try to bring Detroit back on the map. It breaks my heart to see what happened to that city. I lived just outside of Detroit for a few years and miss it. Here is my only complaint. I have been a big fan of your Made in Detroit brand.(at least I think its yours) So at the concert, I finally get a chance to buy a Made in Detroit shirt. First of all the size choices were horrible. It got way worse when I got it home and found out my Made in Detroit shirt, was really made in Nicaragua! WTF! The shirt is horrible quality and about a size smaller than it should be. There is the same exact shirt on the Made in Detroit website, but it says, "Designed in Detroit - Assembled in Detroit. Made in the USA" Why cheap out for your concert fans? I mean, you are Kid Rock. You gotta have a say in this. Sorry for the rant, just dissapointed. Now if I want the shirt I bought at the concert, I have to buy it from the store. I dont know if you read these things or not, but hope you see it. Thank you for your time.
