    Song inspired by Montana's words
    rjl1969 says (07 Feb '13)

I never understood the things I didn't understand
Sometimes I found it hard to see the bigger plan
Please open my eyes to things I didn't see
Help me to be the person that I needed to be
Sometimes I walk with blinders on through life
    Missing things I should see
Always someone else I was trying to be
Only to figure out all along I was me
I never understood the things I didn't understand
Sometimes I found it hard to see the bigger plan
Only through grief , hardache and pain
A better understanding I would gain
    I found out all along
    I couldn't know right
    Had I not known wrong
And now revelations come to me in a song
    It was there all along
    I was there all along

I hear ya Bb. I love the whole song but can't recall in all of his concerts I've been to, ever hearing that one. I think this will be #7or 8 for me. I can't remember but it's somewhere in there. Lets see, FW convention center 1or2times?, Dallas , once w Cheryl Crow, once w Lynard Skynard, Winstar twice-awesome, quaint venue, I'm thinking Dallas was 3times. And now Tulsa. I feel like I'm forgetting somewhere. You know it was Dallas because I think it was the first and we sat on the grass. Wow that was way back. We had good seats for Cheryl Crow and Skynard.

Oh and Blue, you remember when I said you don't know me? I was quoting a Kid song, not being a shit. Didn't know if you knew that because its a pretty old one but I assumed you did. I wasn't like puffing up my chest or something saying you don't know me. If you read thru that post, I quoted quite a few songs. Don't know if everyone got that or just thought I was talking smack.lol

LOL, reread sweet, I said YOU do not know ME. "Achievement-wise" Yet. I get it. My point is that it is easier to read and feel the emotion of the song when there is space around the words. If it's all just one huge paragraph of run on it could be brilliant but most folks can't take the time to focus. My issue is vision probs due to MS. I abhor the fact that you cannot insert paragraphs in the comments. Hope that changes. That and the way the message system is not clear about date and time posting. Rereading a thread from top to bottom and trying to find the new comments is agonizing.

Thanks blue, sometimes there's just not enough space especially when you have a long one. That reminds me of " if you want a long one, I got one for ya. Here's a little shot. I wish I could hear that one live. I love that song especially the beginning. What is it, all lit up like the fourth , I'm a happy drunk, come to papa big mama cause ya daddy's drunk. I wanna pump, pump it up like the Goodyear blimp, make ya holla for a dollar that's the way I pimp. Oh, old school , gotta love big pimping.

Love it, but, also realize it's a total fabrication.

Historically, a very important song. Sealed the deal with From at Atlantic.

I love the eagles especially Henley and also I can't sleep. I hate it when that happens.

I hate it when that happens, too, RJL. Still awake? I tried to take a little cat nap all day 'cuz I was really tired, but to no avail...until a bit ago, on the couch...boom, next thing I know...well, it's now :)

Beautiful. So much easier to read and understand when you set up your poetry in this format.

Great words,...it makes me reflet on some words in a song by the Eagels- Already Gone,...So often times it happens that we live are life in chains never knowing we have the Key,..

Ok I've got to go to bed now. I have played all day on this site while I was slow at work, at home of course. I would help coworkers on their cases since I finished mine then play, watch YouTube .shhhh!

I think of Adam Sandler in happy Gilmore in his happy place w the little person riding a stick horse.lol

No, I won't let him do that and thanks. I just couldn't find the words to explain so I avoided like the plague. I'm constantly learning and it would be a weird day when I didn't learn something. My son just flew back in from Miami and I met him for dinner. I made him go home because he was tired and out of it. Told to get some rest and get ready for Saturday. It's been fun getting to know ya and all the other people on here. It's my happy place.

See, there ya go again making me laugh..."It's my happy place." Secret's out...mine, too :) :) :)

I feel your beautiful heart, RJL and I feel your words, for I, too, couldn't know right had I not known wrong. I, too, missed things I felt I should see as always someone else I was trying to be, but then through grief, heartache, and pain, I found I was there all along. Music has always worked for me, helping me to process, learn, understand, and grow. Thankfully, I like to dance and sing right along, too :) Really good therapy :) A dear friend told me I can be whoever I want but it was better being me. I guess my friend could see things I didn't and my precious friend's kind and insightful words comfort, validate, and inspire me; I am eternally grateful. Your songs are wonderful, RJL! You have a good heart, infectious humor, and a joy of life...that really matters. May you be kind and gentle with yourself as you learn and grow. We're all here learning and growing :) I love you figured out you were there all along. I think you're awesome!!! P.S. I hope you have a rockin' fun time Saturday night...I wish I would be there to meet you. And I hope your dream comes true...and your son isn't out $10,000 for his trying :)
