Ok, it really looks like the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" influenced a lot of Kid Rock's older songs.  Whether they were direct references/influences or if they influenced the 80s/90s hip hop world which then in turn influenced KR, I don't know. that's hard to tell. but there are a few lines that seem to be such direct lifts or references.

"Rapper's Delight" The Beat don't stop until the break of dawn *

KR (PAID): Fuck me baby, fuck me 'til the break of dawn

KR (Welcome 2 the party): From the early evening 'till break of day

KR (Dark & Grey):  you cant stop y'all… Rock, rock y'all…To the beat y'all

KR (Wax the Booty): Too $hort don't stop the beat

"Rapper's Delight" cause I’m one of a kind and I"ll shock your mind

KR (Welcome 2 the party): I'm one of kind, here to shock your mind

"Rapper's Delight" a come alive ya'll and gimme what ya got *

KR (Rollin on the Island): Come on Wes, give 'em what ya got

KR (Dark & Grey):  You come alive y'all

"Rapper's Delight" hip hop, an you don't stop **

KR (Dark & Grey):  you cant stop y'all… Rock, rock y'all…To the beat y'all

KR (Classic Rock): To the hip hip hop ya dip da don't stop

"Rapper's Delight" say up jumped the boogie

KR (Bawitdaba): said the boogie said up jump the boogie

    *these are tenuous at best

** “Rappers Delight” uses all sorts of “beat don’t stop” sorta stuff.  While it’s a common enough phrase now, its one that some say was very tied to that song at time.

Wow looks like he really did sample a lot from that song...love Sugarhill Gang, their songs bring me back to the days when I was a kid & I spent my weekends at the roller rink ;)
