Thank you RLK, for serving our country and if thank yous would help the PTSD I would ask everyone I see to say the same. Unfortunately I know all the thank yous in the world won't take it away but hopefully you and others heal over time. God bless you and the other troops for serving our Country and giving us our freedom and for this I stand and solute you all especially those brave enough to stand up and say I have PTSD . It's a first step in healing. Just being able to recognize what it is , is the first step in recovery. Know that you have a lot of people standing behind you, praying for you and that you sir are not alone. We are kinda one big family on here and feel free anytime to talk, express your feelings, or do what you need to feel better. We are there for you as you were there for us. Again may God bless you as you have blessed all of us. I can't say thank you enough!

I am sorry to hear of your little sleep. I've been having a bit, too, but I pray you are able to nap as your body calls you to do, or at least lie quietly for a few moments and breathe deeply. God heals us so in blessed rest. I'll be praying for your healing. We are a big family, happy even through rollercoaster rides :) I have yet to meet up close face to face any person on this site, but your NCO's hard core words are precious to me for I know now with certitude I do not stand alone. Thank you for sharing yourself with us, for trusting us to come along side you however we are able, for your courage in the face of battle with the enemy seen and that which is unseen and unimaginable, but so real and something I wish I could take from you and gladly bear for you so you would not feel pain, but instead pure joy and love. While I do not know what you are experiencing, I promise to try to understand to the best of my knowledge and to give my shoulder, ear, heart, and tears as we stand together in God's grace, love, and protection. Smiles to you, sir, and may your walk today bring peace to your blessed soul.

Let's Ride friggin Rocks!!! We don't get in the car without my 9 and 12 year old boys saying "can you play the song Dad can you play the song" It's "The" song! As a military brat (dad a vietnam marine and step dad navy 20 years) I can't say I know anything about what your going through except for I know it's real. I can only imagine. Anything I can do to help feel free to email me phoenixcoin@yahoo.com. We are in Phx area. I had a vet with same that worked for me. We had him going through buckets of wheat pennies searching for better dates and coins. "metal therapy" I figure it's better than "mental therapy" and he got paid! He would put on his head phones and go to town!!! Jim

Robert, first thanks for your service on our behalf. Second, there is a lot of new research coming out that music and songwriting can help reduce the symptoms of PSTD. Posted an article on it awhile ago, here is the link: http://www.kidrock.com/forum/fight-songs-how-songwriting-saving-war-vets-lives-528931 We are changing message boards soon, and think this history might go, so I'd get that article copied off quickly, then check with you VA to see if they have the program, or maybe even you could help start a program where you live.
