On November 1st, 2012 is the Get Out The Vote Republican political rally with Governor Sam Brownback and Congressman Kevin Yoder in Kansas City, along with other Republicans. My friend/student, the president of my High School’s Young Politician Club, and I, a member as well, have been granted the opportunity to assist with a local business, and its owner/friend (Guinness Book of World record holder), at the rally.
I am greatly anticipating this opportunity because if you have read in my prior two articles, I am not old enough to vote, however, I want to learn about the political process from every point of view. This event will be a chance for me to observe, inquire, and learn about how it will particularly influence its message which is to Get Out The Vote and spend time with our government officials.
I too, feel strongly about distributing this message of Get Out The Vote. Get Out The Vote can be explained with the following quote: “...the belief that failure of any eligible voter to vote in any election entails a loss to society.” In other words, if you can vote, you should so your voice can help influence our country, otherwise you are not helping anyone including yourself.
Our country right now is at a crucial crossroad as to which way it will go for the next 4 years. I do not have to tell any of you how important that this is and how important the outcome of this election will be for the American people, America as a whole, and the rest of the world.
I want to remind everyone that the presidential election is Tuesday, November 6th, 2012; and that everyone who can, should make it their priority that their voice should be heard. I too would like to remind everyone of all the sacrifices that have been made so we the American people have the right to vote and it is our duty to vote and to not let all the past people who fought, and those who have died to make this a right for us to be in vain, as many other countries in the world do not have any voice in who their leader will be. Because if I was 18 you know I would vote and not take this right for granted.
I will be writing a follow up article about this event “Get Out The Vote” with Governor Sam Brownback and Congressman Kevin Yoder and I will be sharing my thoughts on the experience as whole.
Please be sure to vote on November 6th, 2012 if you have not already done early voting. Please Vote!
God bless

I concur, Son of OTB :)
I concur, Son of OTB :)
I have talked to at least 2 ppl that say they are not going to vote at all..one because of all of the spin and another b/c he just doesn't agree with everything either candidate is offering up. I think it that is a mistake, because you will never find a candidate that agrees with 100% of your views..vote for what direction is best for the country at this particular time.
Bless him, that kid can sum
