My reason for MIA Statusbatnvol says (10 Aug '10)Well I figured that today is a good day to finally come on here and explain why I have been MIA from KRC. First off thank you Connie Jo. For your blogs makes me feel like I was right there on the ship with you. Some of you are aware why I have been gone but for the rest here goes (why is this hard to type out loud? - does it make it really real to post it? - I dunno)
I am pregnant - 17 weeks to be exact. The back story is that I am 40 (41 when baby shows up) and me and my husband have a 13 year old. We will be married 18 years in June. So why is this soooooo scary? Total surprise I guess, we were thinking college in a few years for Avery and now we go back to starting over. I will all be good I know just still need to get use to the idea.
On the flip side I have been feeling better and have been able to lurk more often. I will try to keep those who wanna know updated on the progress.

Glad to hear you and the baby are doing fine, did you decide on a name? So sorry to hear about your Mom, and hope you get to spend lots of good time with her.
Sorry everybody, I am still here. I am 25 weeks now and it's a girl. The pregnancy is going well, at least while she is not on my sciatic nerve. I have some other stuff that has started over the last three weeks. My mom is very sick and not really expected to recover. We are heading to Texas this Sat. I is going to be a long drive from Tennessee. Flying is not really an option, I can't get my mind around getting on a plane. I will try to do better and keep everyone updated. I guess I have just turned into a lurker, But I am here. Hope everyone else is doing good. TTYL

If it makes ya feel any better I had my son @42!! My daugher was 20....so I understand the thinking process you and your hubby were going thru. It does take a lot of thought to get used to the idea. And as much as I complain about it, I love having my boy to put up with. Life would just be too simple w/out him! hehe
