After the 2 shoiws in Detorit, I am definately spending the extra money for VIP, I 'm done with general admission... just have to figure out how to "word" it to my hubby, so he truly understands my plight :)
VIP includes great seats...Atlanta in March (after security lost my ticket upgraded to front row), 2 days in Detroit at Tiger 'merica" park. Got Jerseys and HEARD about some BBQ, Free Bad Ass Beer and swag...BUT NEVER FOUND IT! Where is the food and beer hidden?
Detroit was chaos with the block party and bars goin crazy and this atmosphere added to the great show. BUT, please throw me some peanuts this weekend in Atlanta (sadly not VIP this time) since I missed out on the food and beer at other shows.
Does anybody have information on the MID VIP package for the Atlanta show this Sunday? I didn't save the details and they have disappeared from the Live Nation site. Interestingly, when I called Live Nation, the customer service rep also couldn't find any details ... ANYWHERE. Live Nation won't let me print out my tickets - it says I have to get them from Will Call. That obviously makes the VIP Parking difficult to say the least. If I recall correctly, there is earlier admission for the VIP package --- just trying to figure out when we can get in, where the VIP entrance is, etc.. Beuller? Anybody??
I wish they would pick one person in the crowd and let them dance on stage with them at the D...that would ROCk. hope those attending have the best time...I will be roofing wish me LUCK too~
yes as FANS how can we bitch and complain about BOB he goes the extra mile and then some. he really cares about his fans and TBT does too wold they be working as hard at concerts as they do if they did not care about the fans?
The VIP pkg for St. Louis(7-18) was a cluster....There was NO SEPARATE WILL CALL WINDOW FOR VIP TICKETS, We were not let in earlier than regular ticket holders. Then, after waiting in line at will call for about 20 minutes, they couldn't find our tickets. No bracelet was given to KRC members, as we were told would happen by the VERIZON WIRELESS AMPHITHEATER OFFICE. Then, we were not given a slip( like some of the KRC) that gave directions to our VIP TENT. Now, the tent was right at the back of the buses...which was cool...we got to see the guys from TBT and some even posed for pixs. The beer was unlimited for the 3 hours the tent was open, you just couldn't get more than 1 at a time, and if you went outside the area, you could only take one with you. The seats were very good, center stage, 7th row. Kid Rock was amazing as always. The MID swag bag did have extra goodies in it...bag, key chain and all, about $60 if you purchase on line at MID. I had some of the stuff already. Then, If you think about it, I paid $170 for 1 ticket in Evansville, Indiana March 1, 2011 to be in ROW 2 right beside the catwalk, and I didn't get anything else with that...didn't get VIP tickets for that show. I think if Kid new what a crappy job LIVE NATION did, he would not be a happy man. He is good to his fans. There is no other Super Rock Star that is so down to earth that he will snap a picture with fans, regardless of his day. Let alone, go party with 2000 crazy fans on a ship for 4 days.
I do hope you have an excellent time, and I hope that if Live Nation is sponsoring your event, that they do a better job than they did in ST. LOUIS! Be sure that you reply to the LIVE NATION SURVEY that they will e-mail you afterwards, if they are the ones putting it on....You can bet I DID! Have a great time at the concert!
.
Well, BECKXY, the bag, stickers bottle opener and coozy do infact say made in Detroit. and yes, two drink tix were included. I still think $600 for that is absurd. If you read my earlier post, you would see that the experience provided by Live Nation, Kid Rock, and Comcast Center was NOTHING like what the other ones were. He made no apperance, there were no Jerseys, bats, bobbbleheads, or posters given out. The BBQ was, like i said before, under a tent way way in the back of the venue down a hill in what appeared to be a small parking lot/storage area. It was unlike yours, which according to you "The bbq was held in a nice park type setting with-in the venue with lots of room to roam, trees, and picnic tables scattered thru-out".
The original question was "What all is included in the Made in Detroit VIP package for this tour?"
I posted what was included for the Massachusetts show. I'm sorry you didnt like what i posted, but I answered the question. Obviously the package varies from venue to venue. I dont want everone who reads these to think they ae getting jerseys, bats, bobbleheads, laminates, etc... at everyshow.
Hope you have a blast.. and lol.. def a priority : )
Not sure what else is in the package as I chose the 6 pack seats in order to take the whole family. This will be my 3rd concert this year alone. Can't see Kid anymore this year til I pay for the Chillin Cruise. That is taking priority got to get on that boat. lol
So there is more than just the tigers jersey for the comericas vip package??
Cheryl.. way cool : ) I don't even think I read that part.. I was just too excited to get the tickets..lol We were just at Hershey show a couple of weeks ago but there wasn't any VIP tickets sold for that one. I have to wait til the end of August for this.. so I better find something to do in the meantime or I'm gonna be driving myself and everyone else nuts around me..lol
Glad to see there are others that have enjoyed the VIP packages too.. cuz I wouldn't want them to stop doing them : ) Besides.. l have seen some CRAZY A$$ VIP tickets prices out there for other bands... like Bon Jovi's circle tour VIP last year.. hell naw. No offense to any fans, but I wasn't really going to see Bon Jovi anyway ; )
My opinion? It was worth every penny! There ain't no party like a Detroit party ...
Despite the extras in terms of gifts, upon arriving in the "D", folks from all over came for the party! as in the tailgate party! To be up close and actually see my favorite artist in action, was worth every cent! Oh yeah, the bobble head and baseball bat PLUS food was just an added bonus!
Kid Rock did indicate to come early, 'cause he has some events planned!
Until then ...
I can hardly wait!
@Becky I am sure that is what I read in the presale but I am be wrong. Hopefully he will sell them afterwards like he did the Jersey.
Hi Cheryl : ) Those Lions jerseys from the b-day bash were cool.. we didn't get that package b/c we decided closer towards the end to go. We are from PA, and couldn't resist to drive out ; ) Saw everybody wearing them down on the floor, and I wanted one. That'd be awesome if a Tigers jersey is also included.. well worth the money : )
If the food is catered from his local hangout the food will be awesome. That is some of the best BBQ around Michigan. I am sure that is the direction for his Michigan tour for Comerica. Then again he is friends with Chris Chelios (Redwings) who also owns a eatery. Bet it will be good tho.....
You will also be getting a Made in Detroit Tigers Jersey. The one from Ford Field was a Lions jersey and it is awesome.
My guess is that the price is more to do with the front section seats to see the show, more then anything. Plus Kid Rock's so charitable.. I wouldn't put it past him that some of that money will go towards his 'Kid Rock Foundation'.
BFERR.. Did the canvas bag, stickers, coozy, and bottle opener have the logo 'Made in Detroit' written on it? I would imagine it did since it's called the 'Made in Detroit' VIP package.. which is Rock's brand. You didn't mention anything about getting any drinks.. were they included?
Last year, I think I may have paid a lil more at Jiffy Lube in Bristow.. I thought I paid 299 a person, and we got great seats, small bbq but enuff to satisfy.. what goes better with beer but pulled pork and coleslaw sammich... we also got two beers, a laminent, and a small poster. The bbq was held in a nice park type setting with-in the venue with lots of room to roam, trees, and picnic tables scattered thru-out. We got there late.. and there wasn't many people there. A friend had later told me that ...we totally missed the action... turns out that apparently the Kid himself came over to the VIP area to say hello to his fans.. as we were still at our car downing shots of vodka to get a lil loose.. lol And Kid coming out to say hello wasn't part of the VIP deal.. so those fans had a nice treat : ) I'm doing it again this year and REALLY can't wait ; )
idk.. I really like the VIP package, honestly. It's for those hardcore fans that will spend just about anything to be up front, I've paid so much more thru other outlets to be up front.. and I'm really happy about spending far less now'a'days and even get more for my buck.
So Bummed:( I spent that for these VIP tickets and now it sounds like it's bad!!!
Total waste of money. Went last nite to the Massachusetts show with what was called the made in Detroit VIP package. The "swag bag" was a canvas bag with 2 stickers, a coozy, and a bottle opener (none of which had anything Kid Rock on it). The "BBQ" was under a tent way way in the back. No bathrooms, nothing extra. Basically, it was $600 for 2 tix, a bag, stickers, and some pulled pork. Parking wasnt inculded last night either. Everyone we spoke with that got the same package we did had the same reactions as us. EVERYONE WAS VERY UNHAPPY!!! I went two years ago to the same venue for Kid Rock (I've seen him 9 times) and paid $400 for a package that included awesome seats,VIP parking, access to the Courtyard (red carpet, private bathrooms, full bar, and food). This year i paid $200 more and got WAY less. After an hour of trying to find out if I was missing something, a lady from guest services agreed that we got ripped off and got us into the "Courtyard" area. By that time, it was 810, and he went on at 9. Save your money.
Yes, please do!
Idea...go to Live Nation's site since they are sponsoring this...bet they'd tell you, and if so, please come back here and post the results.
Maybe some in stock bobble heads or baseball bats?
Has anyone actually attended the concert with a VIP package that can tell us about this BBQ and drinks...also the swag bag,,.,,,what is in it>?
Yeah Josh i hear ya. Lots of dough for a bbq, drink, good seat, a tee shirt, & hat. Like i say plenty of factors to make you decide if it is worth it really aren't apparent. I will probably do as i always do. It usually turns out okay and i get pretty much where i want. I will probably keep it in my budget. Can't see throwing that out there as i will more then likely look for a tshirt and see if by a long shot they got one from last tour out there that i want.
But does anyone know if its worth it? It sounds like plain ol BBQ, the swag would be cool; but the seats that livenation described are in row 8 off to the left side of the stage (Not prime seating for that price). I need more descripiton before I drop $586 for me and girl.
Sadly i am hoping a few of these kick ass seats don't sell and schmucks like me can buy them the day of the show or a few days within the show @ at the lower price like i did for Evansville. I just don't plan on doing anything else similar to that show is all.
I got a call and got all excited like an idiot a couple of days after i bought the ticket i was like VIP what the fuck? I just bought a ticket. Bought me a new pair of black boots and jeans to match. Now it won't mean dick come summer time @ Riverport. Let me rephrase that i won't be like trailer trash thinking they won the lottery. Hell i may tailgate again. Unless i got a VIP ticket. Then i might tailgate some but not as much. The drinks were stiff up in there @ his last VIP. Maryland Heights/St. Louis is my shit kicking ground too. Been to so many concerts there it is nuts.
Looking forward to a great summer concert series with Kid Rock and few other shows!!!
This is what I read : A limited number of Made in Detroit VIP ticket packages are also available which includes a Premium location ticket, VIP Parking, Pre-Concert BBQ and a special event Made In Detroit t-shirt and hat .
BBQ, drinks, close up ticket, and a bag of Made in Detroit swag. I myself wanna know what is in that bag and if drinks are unlimited. If it is killer swag and unlimited drinks it might be worth it. Like a tour tee of your choice, and pick out one from last tour that you really, really want. And unlimited mixed drinks then i might be up for paying that $250 + service fees....Just sayin.....
