what god has given let no man take away

i loved you when i first layed eyes on you

i held you in my arms and try to keep you happy

keep you safe loved you more and more each day

i watched you grow and watched your smiles

i seen you sad and cheered you up

missed you when you were gone and happy when you came home and hugged and kissed

you everyday and watched you grow and grow

into a beautiful young lady with hopes and dreams

and smiles and love in your heart and missing these smiles when

your gone waiting for you to come back how happy

it makes me to see you come home and

how it feels like not so long ago you

came in to my life all smiles and tears

thru all the pain and tears and suffering we went thru

we did it me and you side by side and again we will be

my sweet pretty little girl who holds my heart

my life begins each day with you voice in my head

and your bright eyes shining each day to carry me thru

you told once we would make it hand in hand me and you

and now its my turn to return what you have given me

strength to make it thru everything that hurt us in the past

to give it back to you and say to you we can make it thru

anything that hurts us and things that keeps us apart

forever we will be best friends only god knows why

we are on this lonely road of faith but together forever

you and me
