    Local Bands Arrested
    Terri says (24 Aug '09)

On July 19, in Port Sanilac MI, local band members were invited to play at a summer festival. After 2 bands played the Local Chief of police & fire dept. decided to shut it down. One of the bands was getting set up, the drummer was attempting to do his checks, unaware that the venue was being shut down (for no reason) the chief of police violently arrested him. As a member of another band asked what he was being arrested for tazers were drawn and he was also placed under arrest. Band members had 10 minutes to pack up and get out of town, as the police taunted rest of band members to say anything, so they could be arrested too! Permits were pulled and everything was legal on the bands side. Local papers ran a very one sided story quoting the chiefs calling the music many offensive names. Said everyone looked awful, jus awful, dressed in black and earrings. Due to large public outcry the paper is now wrighting a "Other side of the story" piece. However charges are being brought on the two artists, and court dates are approaching! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS KIND OF STUFF STILL HAPPENS IN AMERICA????

Looks like the Polices Chief has some diversity issues. I think maybe he could use some "Anger Management Classes" and some "Cultural Sensitivity Training".

Yes, this is remarkably blown up in a matter of 1 week, makes me proud to know that citizens are willing to fight for their rights, yet embarassed at the same time that there are still this is still going on in America. Come to find out the chief of police has prior complaints of vioent acts in his arrests. Long live Rock!
