    RUN to see Trombone Shorty when he is in a town near you. HE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

    A note to Kid:
    To be perfectly honest, I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the bands on the boat. I was not schooled in their music and was a bit disappointed that Kracker and Ty were not going to be on the boat but I nonetheless went in with an open mind. Why did I question you? The music was phenomenal. Your picks were dead on, exposing me to such a rich mixture of artists. I am now a huge fan of Troy (Trombone Shorty). He's rap, he's soul, he's jazz, he's rock, he's indescribable. Lukas Nelson blew me away as did The Trews and The London Souls. I guess it can be hard to get out of one's comfort zone. Thank you for expanding my appreciation of music. I know many others feel the same way. What an experience!

Troy (Trombone Shorty) told me he was going to book in Detroit soon. If I find out when, I will post info for you all. There is a nice CBS News video on him. Just Google it.

He surprised me the most out of the artist on the boat, I didn't know who he was....saw him twice & bought his CD, reminded me of a trombone playin' James Brown. Lukas was great as were the London Souls...no doubt, Kid knows how to pick um, very satisfied with the bands. Oh & Jr...I was very impressed with his set, he sounds great...he's got stage presence too, just like his Daddy!
