To those replying and reading this discussion thread...we have a BLOG started asking for members going on the cruise to sign in. It's purpose is to let us all know which members are going, in case some want to organize & meet up and party together, whatever. It also helps historically, as now & in the future we can talk about how many went, or didn't go, haha.
If you're like Jenny, considering a room-mate to split the double occupancy rate...you can also make any such notations in this blog as you note you're going. The blog also helps organize sharing cabins, etc....for all going.
I would've loved to share your cabin Jenny, but Achava (Arlene) is now in with me as of yesterday. Thanks so much for offering to share though. :) We booked the same as you...Empress upper deck level, oceanview.
There are others I've read need someone to share with too, but know you may not know them. About all one could do prior to the cruise is communicate via email, or over the phone...try to get to know one another some, if not also going to Vegas.
Having to go solo and paying double was my hold back on going but I decided screw it. If I have to I'll just use my credit card.
I decided that my life has been so about the rest of my family (and I've never been married and don't have kids) for too long to the point that I haven't done things I wanted for myself. I guess I finally reached the end of my patience with my sister and nephews lack of taking responsibility for the problems in their lives and expecting me and mom to solve/bail them out of the problems.
I guess I took the responsibility dropped on me when my parents divorced (12 at the time and the oldest of four) to heart and have been unable to break the cycle completely. But I'm working on it. It is getting easier as the nephews get older since they act and behave in the manners their mothers raised them to (high school drop out bums who won't get jobs and still live at home). Really just have one sister left that is the issue and that's only becuase she still has an 11 year old at home. If it wasn't for him, she could live on the street because I've done all I'm going to do for her. I know I sound like a cold hearted bitch but damn it she's 40 years old and should be have learned to stand on her own two feet long ago.
So I'm going on the cruise, I'm going to have blast and maybe I can meet some of yall because I will definitely be by myself.

Well, Since I've not been on a cruise before, I had no idea how bookings & such worked. For those of us solo...we have no choice but to book the double occupancy of course, which means we pay for two, regardless. I can't afford to pay for two! So, as of right now I'm waiting for a couple KR friends to let me know if they can swing splitting the double occupancy rate with me, share the cabin.
I'm gonna go ahead and book I'm fairly sure, but sure hope I can find someone soon to split the cost of the cabin & share it with me.

According to all info...yes, he is performing live on the boat. However, I wouldn't anticipate Kid staying on the boat mingling with fans, haha. One reason being...too many security risks for a celebrity mingling among the masses of fans. He can easily be choppered in and out, other options for him as well not to have to stay on the boat...unless he just wants to.
Yeah, I know. I'm hoping I don't have to be stuck in a cabin with a total stranger! Still, if I want to go seems I don't have a choice but to book solo. My Kid Rock fans I know want to go on this cruise...don't have enough time to contemplate work & family schedules, budgeting, etc....prior to pre-sale time, which sucks. I wish they would've given more time for people to plan & prepare for something as major as a cruise. I only had 3 days from the announcement on Monday, till tomorrow, my designated pre-sale token time.
I'm divorced, self employed, kids grown now...not as complicated for me to make such decisions...only budget considerations I had to consider.

I'm glad to hear your doing well. I didn't know there were the skin lesions associated with lupus. That seems to be an illness I hear about and I've know one person who was diagnosed but I never really knew what the symptoms are although I did hear about the arthritis. It's nice seeing you posting again. Are you going to make the cruise? It would probably be very relaxing!

I don't want to fly alone either, nor not know who I'm in a cabin with for that matter, which I'm afraid may happen if I can't organize with others. They're scrambling trying to look at schedules, money, all that...there just isn't enough time before pre-sale for us all to organize a cruise like this with friends. :(
I wish they would've allowed us more time to organize with groups of Kid Rock friends. With my token & time to book being in only two days...it's difficult to nearly impossible, to contact all my Kid Rock fans, discuss options for us all to get together & go, share cabins, whatever. If I book by myself...do they just stick someone I don't know in the cabin with me or what? I've never been on a cruise.
What happens is likely the same as what happens with venue tickets...they don't put all cabins up for sale, reserve for family & guests of those performing, as well as the Cruise liner itself holds out cabins for their VIP's, promoters, etc.. Then of course you have Red Stag involved, they too have their VIP's. Then you have all those who have connections to all of the above wanting cabins, hahaha. :)
How could certain cabins be out already? I think those lined out mean the are reserved probably by Kid and crew....and their friends.
I completely agree! I have seen the same people at concerts, finally ended up exchanging numbers, now we are friends. I would totally go alone, all Kids fans are the best!
