NEW YORK (AP) — Kid Rock is a scalper.
The 42-year-old Grammy winner, who is launching a summer tour where most tickets are priced at $20, said he's scalping about 1,000 tickets from each show to make up for the cheaper regular price.
"I'm in the scalping business, but you know what? We told everyone. A lot of artists have been doing this for years behind fans' backs, taking all these backdoor deals," he said. "We look at StubHub and other places and see what they're selling them for and we just undercut them."
Kid Rock's "$20 Best Night Ever Tour" kicks off June 28 in Bristow, Va., and the
"SIGH" says it all!!!
I know! My favorite concert ever, I love the show and the crowd loves Kid!!
I was at Sunday's show and I was there lastnight. As always, it was amazing. Loved the Rev and the Rock jammin out to all the RUN DMC classics. I saw the Feb. shows as well, which were much longer. I'd rather see a longer show than see Uncle Kracker...not that I dislike him or anything...just not a huge fan.
Our limo driver drives for KR a lot. Was telling us some fun stories. After he dropped us off, he had to go to KR's house to pick up Chris Chelios to drive him home. Tried to get him to let us tag a long...maybe next time, LOL!
I'm really jealous . . . =o)
