Just have to say... FRICKEN LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how Kid Rock presented the award tonight on the Billboard Music awards!!!!! That ROCKED and it was fricken awesome!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxox
A phenomenal show, as always. I bought Devil Wihout a Cause the day it came out and have been a devoted fan since. What you said at the show earier about ticket and beer prices was "fanfuckingtastic!" That means a pregame though, I still only had to buy one of the $11 beers! Keep on rocking on, ticket shy or not one of the best shows I've seen. It's that kikikidrock with that kikikid rock shit!

I hear you on all this! We had VIP 2nd row center stage and had a blast. This low down shit that this venue does WILL NOT happen to us again. We'll go see Kid Rock where ever. I have seen my first and last show there. On our tickets two them per paid parking = $20 and the two other tickets (couple who were with us) was $18 and then when we got there we had to pay yet another $30 for parking. So $68 dollars for parking our RV, at VIP parking they said we were over sized and could not park in that lot. So it does seem as someone is getting rich off of fans, and the sweet of the performers!
Show was over the top! Second time we have saw him this year and both shows were super! That Richie boy can rock!
Glad you guys had a great time and great show. I will say this i think almost every venue is greedy on drinks and food. The only ones i have seen reasonable usually are the smaller ones like Pop's in Sauget and The Pageant in St. Louis. If you think for a minute you will go into Verizon Wireless or Scottrade Center and not get ripped off on food and drink you are sadly mistaken. I mean lets be serious $ 4 or $5 for a bottled water is ridiculous and the price of other food and drinks I would be ashamed of if i worked there or had anything to do with the even whatsoever.
To add insult no tailgating? Translation we are gonna ass rape you on food and drink and you got no choice. I feel like fans get raped over and over from the price of cd to buying a concert ticket to just about anything they do to support music. I still love music and that will never change but i have found now that 2nd tier seating tickets have a better view and if i really can't see paying the high prices the lawn ain't so bad to see it from. Now i just need to buy a low rider lawn chair. I got a feeling Live Nation and Tickemaster and every venue are gonna continue to try and rape fans over and over so i am gonna prepare for it that is for sure...Hell i may not even buy a chair i got a few blankets i can haul with me for the shows.
My whole point the whole industry needs to quit looking at fans like one big $ and shaking every penny out of us they can....
Great reviews gang--thanks for posting for the rest of us! :)
In regard to ticketing...I don't know how it works or what the 'trick' is, either...it's the same wherever you go or try....Better tickets are held back for whatever reason...in the 'bin', extra seating added once stage is configured, let go at last minute, etc. etc. I think the industry itself keeps trying different things--it's all a crap shoot. All I know is you can break your bank account and go insane at the same time if you think about it too much...I have had decent luck so far so cannot complain too much-could have probably been better but I enjoy myself, so always my money's worth.
Kid Rock was absolutely AWESOME! Fabulous show! Discovered Leroy Powell & the Messengers, they opened and were quite good. Sheryl Crow looked fabulous and had a great mix of songs, but her mic was effed. Kid Rock was incredible. Great mix of songs, awesome performance and incredible energy, had me jumping and screaming more than ever. Totally agree about JLL being greedy SOB's. Maybe you'll come back to Patriot Center at GMU? Love you, Bobby! Thanks for a great show!
Amazing show last night at Jiffy Lube! Kid never disappoints and even though there was no tailgating (& that sucks hard!) it was a fantastic show and stage. Sheryl rocked too! All in all a great evening of solid rock and roll! I like the Jiffy Lube pavillion for shows...the management is whacked though! Come back soon Kid! Thanks for a wonderful night!
Kid rocked my world last night. Absolutely an amazing show. Was out of breath trying to keep up with you and needed that break when you brought out the lawn chair!
Thanks for scorning Jiffy Lube Live for the selfish pricks they've become. You filled that venue two years ago when it was still called Nissan Pavilion. Yep - no tailgating, charge for parking even if you walk in, and the cost for beer is pure GREED! My Bud Lime was $13, they considered it a "premium beer" Say Whatttt????
In the end it was worth every penny for the show you gave us. Please come back to Northern Virginia, we have other venues. Love ya Kid !

Sonia, I totally agree, I dont have a fuckin clue how Best available seating works but It Fucking doesnt work.... The key seems to be getting online and just keep refusing tickets for hours till good ones pop up if you are lucky. But like you said, Then 2 weeks before show peeps get even better ones for less money . Not to even menton the scalper sites ythat make millions off the front row seats... ugh. Makes me insane, There has to be a better way.
Pottsie show was fabulous, but I'm upset over a couple of things...venue related. I specifically asked the venue if I could use my camera on their facebook and they posted that as long as it did not have a detachable lenses it was no problem...that's from the artist not the venue...however, although they allowed if for Sheryl I was asked to put it away when Rock came on - so no pictures for me...I'm hopeful someone in the community did get some they can share.
The no tailgating policy at this venue is stupid and their reason for it is stupid...we don't want drinking and driving so...STOP SELLING BEER INSIDE...but Rock made it good by saying he won't come back...I'm here to say...although Fredericksburg only has shows on Friday nights and the venue not so big...Beers are $5 and food is sold by locally owned places and its cheap and good! I vote Rock to come to Fredericksburg! Not likely to happen since he is a big name but heh, I girl can dream...
Next, I pay every year to be a Congregation member so I can get the best seats possible...now although my seats were pretty good this show...people who bought tickets two weeks ago had better seats than I did and they bought them from the Live Nation site, not a scalper site...I even bought two more tickets during the Live Nation presale and they were not as good the ones that were STILL AVAILABLE as of yesterday. I'm not sure how the computer picks seats when you say you want the best available but the program must be flawed.
The web crew here and Artist Arena have ALWAYS treated me good. I've been on both cruises, I have a room full of Kid Rock memorabilia that I have had for a long time and damn it, it just gets bigger every time I see the man.
As Rock said, we all work hard in order to be able to get to see him, and for the venue to ripoff his fans was pretty shitty...and we took a couple last night who have NEVER seen him live and they were BLOWN AWAY...but as a huge fan I knew they would be ;o)...
