Sorry, I still think Joey was an amazing talent. He could sing, phrase, write, and had a solo work in progress when he passed. He had heart, and soul. I miss him.

As for the journey through, I probably would have stuck with what I knew until my nieces were born in the late eighties. No thanks to our side, they were both amazingly talented musically, vocally and theatrically. I decided to let them dictate. They sent me cds in the mail...."Aunt Jocelyn, this is sooooo cooool...." Ahaha. Rap, and so much more. Remember breaking both their little hearts in the car on the way home from the B'day trip to the record store. Michael Jackson. At the time, rumors were surfacing but I was more concerned about idol worship. Mikey was holding the baby on the album cover. "You think he knows that baby?" I asked? Silence. Or do you think maybe the folks who decide how to sell it to you decided a baby was a good idea? More silence. It was hard.

Nah he ain't talented....he has heart. That is rare in ppl. Most ppl walk around like ZOMBIES. There is a big fucking difference. I read a little about him and Kid Rock's first meet. Hell he basically told Kid off for thinking he was a kid. Kind of like a human pitbull. I am like that as well i just have to be real careful while i am in school and in life doing that. Cuz that shit can get you hurt in a New York Minute. My advantage on Joe is i can back my shit physically. I am a good sized chick and i ain't size wise dynamite don't come in small packages either by no means.

Wish i had been more into Rock earlier the RN'R Jesus. I knew he was and had listened to him but hadn't really listened to him. I was more rock n' roll, blues, country, classic rock, honky tonk. Not so much rap. Sure i listened to some but my palate likes rock best. Throw Lemmy on a stage every night of the week and if i could be there i would. I like to create what is in my heart and soul though. That is rock with country blues inflections and dash of songwriter like Elton/Bernie Taupin. It has to flow like the Mississippi and be as long and deep to make me happy in the end.

I feel slighted in a way that i wasn't really into Kid with Joe. But that is why i am gonna make damn sure to not miss Chuck Berry soon as i am freed up from school. I don't wanna miss something before it is gone...I hate having musical regrets....
