    "...I ain't no sell out..."
    rocksavedmysoul says (11 Mar '13)

I hope someone can post the 2013 cruise Q & A. For those who weren't there, I just wanted to write about one portion that has really stuck with me the last few days. I forget what the question was because Kid playfully went off topic on many, but what he said in one response really struck me. He spoke about how he had the merchandise that was being sold on the cruise sent to him (I'm not sure if it was during the cruise or prior). He then took a look at the flip flops and asked how much they were being sold for and was told $25. He then said (I have to paraphrase here since I wasn't taking notes and I had been drinking) that there was no way he was going to sell them for that. He pointed out that people had been saving for this cruise, this was their vacation, and in no way was he going to nickel and dime them on the merchandise. He immediately ordered the price slashed to $15. DONE!
I remember Kid saying in the past how he took his then young son to the circus and couldn't believe the price of the merchandise-inferring he couldn't afford to buy his son the stuff that was being peddled. Kid remembers how hard it is to watch every single penny. It goes to show that it's true-"you can't buy cool". How many artists stop and think about the fans like that?

I recorded Val's Q & A question & thankfully the sound worked. I just need to get to my sisters house, who has cable high speed internet to upload. I recorded a few other Q & A questions, but was too caught up in watching it than recording :/
Hey, if KR can work on these cruise lines charging $34 bucks for a 6 pk bucket of beer that costs ya $6+ in the store, that would be great...bar bill....damn!

God! Can we love this guy any more?! He is so good to his fans! I have already checked on youtube for the Q & A, but so far nothing. That is always my favorite part to watch. I like hearing what is going on in Bob's head (and his heart!) I am going CRAZY waiting for the Toledo, OH concert!

He has more integrity in his little finger than most big name Pop stars have in their whole body. All they are worried about it making money and their sense of entitlement is sickening. Kid Rock doesn't get the respect he deserves because he calls a spade, a spade. Some people may find him crass but his fans know he is all class!

Thanks Val for remembering the question
BTW everyone-that was Val asking the Seger question at the Q&A
Way to go!

I remember that, RSMS...someone asked him how much say or leeway he has in his scheduling/responsibilities, and he had answered that he was responsible for all of the decision-making (paraphrase), and used the merchandise as an example. Just like we were talking about..you (also) can't buy CLASS. That is a very classy thing to do. Peeps may joke about the redneck persona and everything else, but when it comes right down to it, KR shows a lot of class in his decision-making as it relates to other people.
